Just You Is Enough

I've been working all day; I missed this and forgot that the time runs really fast. I was so happy to see my friends again and all my co workers. I am doing my some paper works which is needed to be submitted by today, so I skip lunch and finally I am done at exactly three thirty-five in the afternoon. I am now starving; maybe I should go at some diner later, eat in there and grab some take out.

I told my assistant Jenny to bring my paper works to Mr. Bennett's room. I sigh in relief as I sit back and relax; I forgot to check my phone so I hurriedly grab it from my drawer. I saw three missed calls coming from Luke and my mom. I dialed my mother's number and wait for her to answer it. I'll just call Luke later. Finally my mom answered the phone.

"Hello sunshine!" I smiled as I hear y mother's voice.

"Hi mom, how's everything? I'm sorry I didn't notice that you called, I was just doing some paper works at that time." I honestly told her.

"No sugar, that's fine. Don't worry about it okay? I just want to check my darling you know?" I smile at her sweetness.

"Thanks mom, I'm fine don't you worry about me."

"Honey, I am always worried about you and your brother. Even if you both grownups, you can't blame me if I still feeling this way because you were my babies."

"I know mom that is why we love you so much. We are so lucky to have parents like you."

My mother pause for a while, I wonder what she is thinking right now. Maybe she is crying because I heard some sniffs at the other line.

"Mom, you still there? " I ask and wait for her to answer.

"Yes baby, I'm good. You go now missy and I'll call you later or maybe tomorrow. Your dad says I love you."

"Okay mom, tell him I love him too! You too mom, love you!"

"I love you princess" She said and hangs up the phone. I look up at the clock and it's time for me to go home now.

I dialed Luke's number to check on him but it all just leads me to leave a message.
I told him to call me once he already got my message.

I love there burger and fries in here, it tastes like heaven. Well I think I'm getting too exaggerated so it feels like heaven while eating this food. Luke hasn't called me yet so maybe he is still busy right now. I made my way home in one piece after paying a visit in our church. I change my clothes and clean my flat, I also washed my dirty clothes and now that everything was settled, I jump on my bed ready to watch a movie with some cookies and milk. I know it's a bit too early but I love it, it's not like I am going to sleep already. Just chilling and calling it a day.

My phone started to ring as the movie starts so I grab the remote and pause it.

"Hello?" I answered the phone without looking at the caller Id.

"Babe? " It's Luke and I can't help but smile.

"Hi baby, how are you?" I ask.

"I'm good, I'm good. I am so sorry that I didn't even pick you up from your office." I heard him sigh and some papers shuffling on the other line.

"That's fine babe; you're still in the office?"

"Unfortunately yes, but I'm already done and just arranging this papers."

"Okay, looks like you have a really long day" I told him and I heard him growl.

"Yes babe, a long exhausting day." I chuckle at his remarks.
