Just You Is Enough

Evening gatecrash

There I was standing beside the river as I watch the water flows. Closing my eyes, I listen carefully to the calming sounds of it and it was refreshing. As the water runs, my love for him is just like this river... It will never stop.

I woke up with a small smile on my face; it was indeed a beautiful day. I've been dreaming about the same thing these past few days. What does it mean? I've never seen this river before and now I'm confused.

"You okay darling?" My mama asked.

"Yes Mama, I'm just checking this files but I'm good." I smiled at her. We are at the kitchen; she is cutting some vegetables as I am at the counter with my laptop in front of me.

"How's work anyway? Your Papa said it's doing well and it's because of you." She said nicely.

"It's doing good Mama but not because of me, it's because of everyone in there. We are doing it hand in hand." I told her.

"You are right darling, you know, I am really glad you accepted it..." Mama said.

"Me too Mama."

We talked about a lot of things and I helped her made our lunch after I'm done with my laptop.

"Mama, where is the twins and Papa anyway? I haven't seen them this morning." I asked.

"Oh they'll be here in just a few if I'm not mistaken, your Papa thought it would be nice if he and the twins might be able to have a father and son moment." Mama said and I couldn't help but smile.

"That's cool, I'm sure that the twins will love it."

"You should've seen their faces darling!" Mama said as we both laugh and imagining the twins.

"You know what Mama, what if we go out after lunch too? Let's have this Mama and daughter moment? I asked with a smile. I saw her eyes glisten and she just embraced me tighter.

"Thank you darling, thank you! I'm just really waiting for you to say that!" Mama said happily.

Maybe it's now the finally right time to fix everything before it is too late.

"Don't worry Mama, we will have fun later!" I told her as I plan the places we could go later.

"Isn't it fun Mama?" I beamed as we made our way out to the paint ball room.

"Yes it is darling! I can't believe we did it against those two men inside!" Mama said as she takes off her vest.

"Myra and I do this thing too mama and it was really fun too!"

"Next time we should do it again okay? And call your friend and I'll call your mom too okay, so we are a team here." Mama said happily but I can't help but think how she is willingly takes everything just for me.

Mama and I's relationship as a mother and daughter is not like what Mom and I already had. I know that Mama and Papa is still trying to fulfill what they've lost after so many years and of course it's going to be a long process but I know we will get there because I really want it to work this as well.

Smiling, out of nowhere I don't know why but I hug her tight.

"Oh," Mama said. I knew she was shocked too but embrace me tight after.
