Just You Is Enough

Starting again (Part 2)

Today we are launching our new designers and their creations. They're young and everyone can see a bright future ahead of them, they are young and yes they are making their names already sparkling with glitters. I feel like their mother who is so proud of them. The moment they wave at us from the stage after showing their creation makes me proud of them more. Tonight is there night; tonight the spotlight is only for them. My parents couldn't also hide the fact on how proud they are to our scholars, saying that everything is really worth it.

My Papa gave a speech thanking everyone who shares their time on us. Thanking our new designers. Each of our new designers gave also a speech thanking everyone especially our family for helping them achieve their dreams. I keep on telling them that we just helped and it's them who really made it to where they are right now.

I invited also mom, dad and James but James said that he'll try. Myra is just somewhere around the corner, I'm not idiot to not know that James is trying to avoid her that's why he had decided not to come. People were having fun actually and I'm glad that the party is turning out good actually. I invited Luke but he said that he'll try to show up even if it's late because he needs to go and pick his grandfather from the airport tonight.

People were walking around excitedly as they look at our furniture's in awe that was displayed and made by our designers. My secretary said that some people were already asking her when they could contact us. Some of the people that we invite were just starting to open resorts, restaurants and they want to have our furniture's already! There were also an owner of some hotel who wants to give us a try and we are really game for it.

"Guys, careful please!" I told the twins as they keep on running happily.

I keep on looking everywhere to see if Luke finally arrives but there is still no sign of him. It's been two days when I last saw him. The organizer finally said that everybody should go back to their designated tables inside because dinner is about to serve in just a couple of minutes.

"Good evening Ms.Thompson, I'm Ericka Smith from the Smith's home and appliances. I just want to congratulate you and your family for this successful event. I was really impressed also with all your designs and if you want, it would be such a pleasure for us to have your designs displayed on our appliances store. I believe we can sit on it you think?" She said with a smile.

"Hello Ms. Smith, well I'm glad that you like it. Well I think you are right, I believe also that we can sit on it. Maybe we can schedule it before this week ends?" I ask her and she smiled at me.

"I really can't wait Ms. Thompson, thanks! See you!" she beamed happily before going inside.

The party ended successfully without Luke showing up even a glimpse of his shadow. The twins were already asleep and Mama decided that they had to leave already because of the twins.

"Papa you should go ahead with Mama and the twins too. You look tired already, don't worry I can manage everything in here. I'll make sure that the furniture's will be delivered back safely and make sure that everything is settled before I leave. Don't worry okay? I got this." I told Papa with a reassuring smile.

"I believe you darling; I know that you can do it even with your eyes closed. I'm just worried that you'll get sick, you've been too busy with everything these past few days and your mama and I were worried about you getting sick." Papa said worrying.

"Pa, I can do this okay? After these don't worry I'll try to relax!" I told him and he leaves after awhile.

After making sure that things were already settled, I made my way to my car and ready to call it a night. Feeling a little disappointed is an understatement. I was really hoping that Luke was here but I remind myself that we aren't together so what's the point? It's not like I own him right?
