As I walk down town I didn't notice that the days have gone so fast and that Christmas is near. Christmas decorations everywhere, the lights are sparkling and everyone is too busy buying gifts. Suddenly I asked myself, what can I give to my parents? James, Myra, Henry?

Last Christmas, I gave all of them Christmas cards. Yes you heard me, just a card and that's because I don't have enough money that time. But at least it's from my heart. At that time I don't have a job, I just got my work this year and I remember how Luke trying so hard to give me money so I can buy gifts for my family but I refused to take it. There is no way I'm going to do that.

I got phone from my parents, perfume from James and a beautiful dress from Luke. Speaking of 'him', this is going to be my first Christmas without him. On the first year of our relationship, that was the year that he also introduced me as his girlfriend. The night that his father told me how he hated me for his son. After all what happened that night we never talked about it again, like it never happened. But I never saw his father again because I made it sure that our path won't cross together. Our relationship became stronger after that and that's until he started working for his father. I understand how he became so busy and never got the chance to come and see me even on weekends unless I called him and tell him to have coffee or dinner with me. I remember everything bright and clear.

**FLASHBACK**

I'm sitting here all alone in the park for almost one hour waiting for Luke to come around and pick me up. We are supposed to have some dinner together and it's getting late, I called him multiple times but it only leads me to voice mail. I'm getting impatient!

I count from one to one hundred and yet, no sign of Luke. I walked from park to my home hoping I will see him along the way but not my luck. It's late and I'm already tired from work, I jumped on my bed and hoping that I could sleep peacefully.

I'm really mad at Luke right now. It's Saturday tomorrow and I am planning on spending my day with him but I don't think it will happen.

I'm trying to believe that he is just busy but sometimes it also makes me think that he's changing.

The next morning I woke up very late and looked at my phone to see that I have twelve missed calls from Luke. I'm still mad at him. I went to the mall to grab some late lunch and now I'm in the park facing the lake just to relax. Luke had been calling me but I never answered his calls let him suffer for a while.

Minutes had passed and the park that filled with kids was now empty.

"What is the matter with you, I keep on calling you and you just ignored it! Did you know how worried I am Sam?" Luke said angrily. I stood up and turned to look at him.

He is really angry but I don't care because I'm freaking angry too.

"And now you remember me?" I asked him crossing my arm.

He sighed and said "Sam please, I'm sorry I can explain just hear me out."

I shook my head. "No Luke you listen. I've waited for you last night hoping we can have some dinner together and I've waited for almost one hour Luke! One hour. Can you imagine that? Then I walked from here to my house hoping to see you along the way. You've been so busy Luke that you already forgot we have plans together. You promised me that whatever happens, you will never change. I miss the old Luke, the Luke who is always there for me, the Luke who calls me in the middle of the night to tell me good night. I miss that person very much." I looked away from him. He grabs my hand and held it tighter.
