VIXX'S VOODOO DOLL

Chapter 9

May wakes up covered in sweat, panting, and with a headache. She looks around and sees N watching her. She backs away quickly and falls off the bed onto her aching back. When she looks around, N is gone.

*It must've just been a dream.*

She calms down and gets back into bed. But she was craving something that she couldn't put her finger on. Before she can realise what she's doing, she is walking out of her room. In the hall, she runs into Hongbin, who's holding a bunch for bloody towels. In his room, she can hear faint squealing. She raises her eyebrows and he shrugs.

"Midnight snack," he answers her unasked question.

"N's room is down this hall, right?" She asks quietly, almost ashamed.

"Two doors down from mine, why?"

"I need to ask him something."

"At three o'clock in the morning?" He asks and starts making kissing sounds.

She punches him in the arm and keeps walking. When she reaches N's door, she was trembling as she went to knock on the door. A sleepy N opens it, hair sticking up in every direction. His eyes widen when he sees her.

"Wh-what do you need?" He stutters.

"Can I come in?" She asks, her voice, unlike the rest of her body, is strong.

He nods and opens the door for her fully. Just like last time, clothes are strewn all over the floor and his bed is a mess, blankets hanging off. He clears his throat and she notices him standing by the door, hand on the knob, wondering if he could close it. She nods and turns on the light. She feels better in his presence and she knows what she came here for.

"What do you need?" He asks, keeping a distance from her.

"Just to be in your presence," she answers, sitting on his bed, "I know you felt it in the pizza place, it's almost refreshing."

"Yeah I did," N rubs his neck, "So you're just gonna watch me while I sleep?"

"No, I'm gonna sleep with you," she says and her voice cracks.

His eyes boggle and he seems to choke, "May..."

"Just sleeping," she cuts him off, her voice sounding more confident than what she felt. She honestly didn't know what the hell she was doing.

"Just sleeping?" He asks, sounding relieved but still worried, "What if I loose control?"

"Then I won't be mad at you, I'll be mad at myself. I'd be lying if I said I trusted you and I wasn't scared. But if you do, it's my fault for coming."

He gives in and walks over to his bed. He lays down on one side and she lays on the other. He covers her with a blanket and then stays to his side. And they sleep like that.

N wakes up feeling refreshed and he wonders why. He rolls over and sees May sleeping on her stomach next to him.

*Oh yeah.*

Somebody starts pounding on his door and he's there, opening it partially. Ken almost falls in.

"Hyung, May isn't in her room and I've searched the house! She must've run away in the..." Ken says in a panic.

"She didn't run away," N cuts Ken off and opens the door enough so Ken can see May sleeping peacefully on his bed.

Ken's eyes go big, "Did you hurt her again last night?! Because if you did, I don't care if you're my Hyung I'll destroy you!"
