Chapter 21

May: I've tried showing you what's going on, in my head
I've tried making you understand why we're losing each other.

Ken: So teach me how to....

May's voice plays as the boys watch the newly released music video, Understand Me. It was amazing, Leo was impressed. He glances at N while May's solo dance plays. He is smiling as he watches his mate. He is glad that his best friend is happy. He looks at the others, they are all as impressed as Leo is. Except for Hyuk. He kept looking at May, guilt written on his face. Leo frowns and continues to observe Hyuk. He sees Leo staring and looks back at the computer screen. Leo looks at the camera, recording their reactions. The music video ends and N is the first one to start clapping. The other boys and May join in.

"That was amazing. May did an awesome job," Ken is the first one to speak, and Hongbin nods in agreement.

"I can't believe she's been living with us for the past five months and we didn't know she was this talented," Hongbin adds with a grin.

He ruffles May's hair. She grins back and pushes his hand away. She fixes her now ruined hair and sticks her tongue out at him childishly.

"Would you like to say anything May?" Ravi asks, ruining her hair again.

She playfully smacks his hand away while shaking her head. N slips out of his seat and slips up behind her. He starts to tickle her and she squeals.

"I have had my revenge," N laughs and continues to tickle her.

"Stop please!" She squeals, "I didn't do anything this time!"

"Yes, this time," N growls playfully.

"I give! I give!" She shrieks, "Stop I'm gonna pee!"

He stops and she runs off to the washroom.

"So you've met the person behind the voice. She will be going on our tour with us, bye for now Starlight's around the world!" Ravi laughs and turns off the camera, "Who's hungry?"

They chime their approval, except for Leo. He is still looking at Hyuk. The guilty look is gone, replaced with hunger. Could it be because May has left the room? He shakes his head. While there had been something off about him ever since Camille released him, he proably just felt guilty because he had helped Camille to begin with.

May comes out of the washroom to find Hyuk waiting on the wall. He looked uncomfortable, nervous almost.

"Good, you're finally done," Hyuk comments, "Come on, we're done for the day, we're going to eat."

"Great, I'm starving," May answers, them puts her hands on her hair protectively, "Are the others waiting to ambush me?"

Hyuk laughs at her answer, but he still looked uneasy.

"No, nobodies waiting to ambush you or your precious hair," he starts to walk down the hall, and runs into somebody.

He does a 90° bow and makes a small gesuring with his hand for her to do the same. She does as the important looking man approaches her. She sees Hyuk rise and she does as well. The man is looking her over.

"So you're the girl with the angelic voice?" He asks gruffly. She nods, then looks at Hyuk for help.

"Answers short and to the point," he mouths with weird hand motions.
