Chapter 33

Ken wasn't eating anything, May notices. He had clearly lost weight. It was three months into the tour, he had been acting this way since Japan.

"Ken, you have to eat!" She scolds.

She spears a piece of steak on her plate and holds it to his mouth. Ken smiles at her. He opens his mouth and chews the food slowly. He seems to choke when he swallows.

"Thanks May," he smiles at her again, but it didn't seem happy.

"Do you need me to show you how to use a fork? Or should I see if Texas Road House gives out chopsticks?" She jokes.

"Which, by the way," Ravi starts, his mouth shoved with baked sweet potato, "We're in LA, why ish it called Texash Roadf Houshe if itsh not in Texash?"

She reaches over and shuts his mouth, "That's disgusting Ravi, nobody wants to see your chewed up food."

He swallows, "Well?"

Ken was looking at her intently, he was curious too, a good sign. She takes a deep breath.

"It originated in Texas, then moved all across the country," she answers simply, offering another piece of her steak to Ken. He shakes his head and pushes her hand toward her.

"Why don't you ever feed me?" N whines.

"Because you already eat like a pig," Leo answers for her, munching on his own food.

"Do not!"

"Do too!" Hyuk, Hongbin, and May exclaim at the same time, then burst into laughter.

"Will you Asians quiet down?!" Some drunk guy calls from the bar, which just causes them to laugh harder.

"Can I get any refills for anyone?" The waiter asks politely.

"Yeah, can I have another Coke please?" May answers.

He nods and takes her cup.

"Moooooooommmmmm" Hongbin whines, falling on the peanut dusted floor, "Ravi's gonna hit me!"

"You deserve it you punk," Ravi growls, yanking him back into his chair.

"What'd he do this time?" N inquires.

"He put hot sause in my water!"

N looks thoughtful, "I'll spank him when we get home."

"But Mom, he deserved it, he rubbed an onion on my thigh!"

"Then he'll get spanked too."

"What?!"

May giggles, "You know that we don't go HOME for another four months right?"

Ravi and Hongbin look at each other and laugh with her.

N pinches her arm, "Ya, you weren't supposed to tell them that! Now, you'll be punished in the cruelest way possible when we get back to the hotel."

"What's the cruelest way possible?" She asks, slightly worried. His face was serious.

"You'll find out when we get back to the hotel," he answers simply. She glances at Leo, he just smirks and continues to eat.

"Jerks," she murmurs, she knows they can hear her.

"Um, e-excuse me?"

A small voice asks, they turn and see two teenage girls standing there. The first one was tall and had straight blonde hair hanging down to her shoulders, the second was kinda short and had tight brown curls pulled into a messy bun.
