VIXX'S VOODOO DOLL

Chapter 30

May jolts up when the van stops.

"Good, you're awake," N says. He was still upset, but not so much with her anymore. Earlier, Hyuk had made him realize that, "We're at the airport."

"Eh, where are we going again?" She yawns, causing her nose to wrinkle. He smiles.

"Japan," he answers her, getting out.

She follows him, "Are we leaving without our clothes and other... stuff?"

He chuckles at her hesitancy, "No, when Ken went to wake you up, and failed, he went ahead and threw most of the clothes in your drawers, your closet, and bathroom, into a suitcase. I can't believe you didn't notice."

"I was kinda rushed," she yawns.

It was still dark outside. He feels a drop on his face, it had started to drizzle. It gets harder and he pulls off his coat and covers her with it as they run inside.

They go through security and wait for their plane to arrive. May lays down in N's lap and he messes with her hair. Just as she seems to be falling asleep, she her eyes fly open when they hear a squeal.

"It's N-Oppa from VIXX and his girlfriend!"

"And there's Ken-Oppa! And Ravi-Oppa and Leo-Oppa and Hongbin-Oppa and Hyuk-Oppa!" Someone else calls.

She sits up and he immediately feels irritation with the fans. He masks his anger with a sweet smile, pulling out two permanent markers. He hands one to May as the girls start swarming them, even some boys. Although they just wanted May's autograph.

"Now boarding first class for flight 29B, " the lady over the intercom says. They wave goodbye to the fans and board the plane.

May leans on N again after the plane takes off and falls into a deep sleep.

*May is alone in the forest. She hears N cry out in pain.

"N!" She screams and runs the direction she heard it from.

She runs, pushing tree branches and trips over rocks. She arrives at a large clearing with a large lake in the middle. She looks around desparately. N's not there.

"May?!" Ken cries from behind her, she whirls. He's not there.

"Help!" Hongbin, Hyuk, and Ravi cry from the middle of the lake. They aren't there either. She screams in frustration and squats on the ground putting her head between her knees.

"May?" Leo's small voice asks, he's right in front of her. She looks up and sees him looking at her.

"Leo!" She cries, "What's going on?"

"May, why did you disappear?" He asks, "After you left and Camille couldn't find you, she made our lives hell. N is in a corpse-like state, without you, no kind of blood would satisfy him. He's dying. As are we."

His face develops nasty black burns and he screams. She is suddenly not by the lake anymore, instead, she is inside a cave. She sees N chained with his arms above his head. He is limp. She runs over to him and feels his face. Usually, he was cold. But right now, his body was hotter than an oven.

"N," she whispers, "N? Baby? Oppa? Wake up!" He moans at the sound of her voice, "That's right N, come on baby, come on Oppa, wake up!"

"He needs your blood," Camille says from behind her. May whirls, "But, first, I want you to watch something." She pulls a strange doll that looked similar to N. She smiles cruelly, "I'm sure you're curious as to the pain and damage a voodoo doll can cause."

May shakes her head frantically, but she is too late. Camille picks up an ice pick and drives it into the doll's throat. N makes a strange noise, a cross between a strangle and screech. His eyes fly open as he repeats the sound.

"NO, N!" She screams.

"May, May, wake up!"*

May makes a small shriek as she jerks up.

"Hey, hey, hey calm down," N orders soothingly, cupping her face.

She stares at him for two seconds before yanking him to her. She clutches him close to her. He seems confused, but rubs her back. She cries into his shoulder and clutches his shirt desperately, tears rolling softly down her face.

When she pulls away, she stares into his dark brown eyes. He takes his sleeve and dries her tears.

"Bad dream?" He asks, hugging her and petting her hair. She nods and sniffles.

"Camille had you and the others, you were dying from lack of blood. And she used some doll to hurt you," she whimpers, nestling her nose into his collar.

"I'm sorry My May," he whispers in her hair, "That won't happen."

"To cheer you up May, can I ask you a question?" Ken looks over from the seat in front of them.

"Um, I guess?" May answers warily.

"So you've lived with us for almost a year," Ken starts, "And we haven't celebrated your birthday."

"That's a good point," adds Ravi, "When is your birthday?"

"Um, I don't really like people making huge deals about my birthday," May stutters.

"We won't make a big deal, we just want to know," Ken reassures.

She rubs her neck, pulling away from N.

"Guys, leave her alone," Leo scolds, "She said she didn't want to tell you and she's already feeling awful."

"Okay okay, we'll just ask Manager Park, he probably knows," Ken answers in Korean, clearly forgetting that she could understand him.

"Manager Park doesn't know," she sighs.

*Leo, I know you're curious too, so.. it's in December, okay?*

*Why are you only telling me?* is his reply, she glances at him, he's hiding a smirk.

*Because you stood up for me and I trust that when December comes, you won't make a huge deal out of it.*

*You're wish is my command.* He sounded sarcastic and she decides she likes mind talking with him better than actually speaking.

"Aish, I forgot you speak Korean now!" Ken groans, "How are we supposed to talk about you behind your back now?"

"Hahaha very funny Kenny boy," she responds, then looks at Hyuk. He was sitting next to Hongbin, who was sleeping. Hyuk was just staring out the window.

*Leo, what's wrong with Hyuk?*

*He just feels guilty, I don't blame him.*

*If that's all.*

She sighs and leans back on N. He takes her hand in his and she dozes off.

"I hope you enjoyed that dream May Day, there will be more like it."

Evil laughter echoes through the cave.
