A Ninja Heart (Naruto Fanfic,Completed)

And so it happened

Narumi was sitting on the edge of the wall,looking out for anyone. It was night now,and she was basically looking out while everyone else slept. 

Today had been weird,though.. Narumi knew that she and Hinata had seen someting common,except Narumi had been stronger to stand on her feet. Hinata,though,had not. But then again,Narumi had Kurama,and she had the Uzumaki and Namikaze blood in her veins.

"Looks like you're in deep thoughts." Narumi turned around and saw Naruto coming towards her,sitting on the edge of the wall next to her. She could instantly feel it.. Despite Narumi going away from the village and leaving everything behind her,she still wore her necklace that she'd gotten from Kakashi. It was the one thing that connected Naruto and her,if it weren't for Kurama. 

She could now feel the power of Yin and Yang connecting them through the necklaces. These necklaces had a power that was yet unrevealed to Narumi,but she knew this much; it gave the twins strength. 

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Narumi asked,not really sounding concerned. But she'd always... 

"I..Couldn't sleep." 

"Why not?"

"My sister is back and she's well,but she doesn't seem like she needs my help anymore. It bothers me." he said,just as Narumi saw the scar on his palm that had connected their vow. Narumi had the same scar on her hand. 

"I don't need anyone-"

"Izuka and Sumo are the only ones you need. And the Feudal Lords." Naruto told her,looking out at the night sky. She was prepared for this concersation,had a feeling that this was going to come all along. 

"Izuka and Sumo changed sides for me and were prepared to die for me.." 

"So was I." Naruto said to her. 

"You have Hinata now!" Narumi shot back at him. "You shouldn't care about anyone but Hinata!"

"You're my sister,Narumi!" Naruto shot back,glaring into her eyes. Their identical eyes.. "You'll always be my first priority! Your safety means the world to me,your well-being and your happiness. Your life is my life. You're all I've got." Narumi fought the tears back into her eyes. She refused to cry here..In front of him. 

"I couldn't care less of what you have!" Narumi said,getting up on her. "I am Narumi Namikaze. You're Naruto-"

"I am the son of the Fourth Hokage,the son of two heroes that fought off Kurama that is inside of us. I am the son of Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze. I am the twin brother of Narumi Uzumaki."

Narumi's eyes were immediately filled with tears. She couldn't stop them anymore. She had missed him so much..Missed Naruto,her brother.. Her beloved twin brother. They were family,they were brother and sister. Twins. 

"Stop it.." Narumi whispered,clutching her fists as she looked down,her hair covering her face.

"Narumi.." Naruto said,getting up on his feet. Narumi instantly backed away,jumping from the wall and down to the ground. Her eyes were big as she looked at him,filled with tears. 

"You can't make me come back,Naruto!" she smiled with the tears in her eyes,trying to convince him that he couldn't do anything. "You can't catch me! I'm never coming back!" Naruto's eyes were dead serious,sad and depressed. 

It was like he was all alone in this world and had seen a ghost for the fifth time today. It was like he was sad and bored. 

"Narumi I just-"

"No!" Narumi said,running backwards. "I'm not coming! You can't make me!" she said,dropping the smile that had turned into an angry face. 

Suddenly Narumi started running away,and as she ran her long blonde hair was blowing backwards,her tears rolling from her cheeks. She ran and ran,knowing he'd come after her,and tried to hide behind a house. 

She hid and caught her breath,the tears rolling dramatically down. Her hands touched her face dramatically,and she pulled her hair a little. 

"No,no,no..!" she whispered to herself. Narumi wasn't suppose to cry,wasn't suppose to feel anything..She'd been a master at this. But somehow.. Somehow Naruto.. 

"Narumi!" Naruto's voice..He was looking for her. It was like they were playing hide and seek,except Narumi didn't want to be found at all. She wanted to be perished. 

"Narumi,I won't do anything! I just want to talk!" 

But Narumi didn't move...

Next day came and they all awoke,going out for a next hint. 

"Narumi!" Narumi saw Sakura coming towards her,her byakogou almost shining on her forehead. Narumi was actually proud of Sakura,but she'd never ever say that.. If it hadn't  been for Sakura though,that genjutsu of Madara's would've been just as eternal as he planned. 

"Yes?"

"I just wanted to say that.." Sakura smiled at her. "We wouldn't have come this far."

"I'm sure you would." Narumi said,turning around. "You always do somehow." Narumi walked away as she said that,leaving Sakura to stare at her.

Later that night they decided to take another break,and considering they all knew they were somewhat close,they might as well just need to rest,too. Narumi,Shikamaru and Izuka talked strategy while Sumo and Sai listened closely. Sakura was doing the watch with Sasuke,Naruto and Hinata were doing God knows what.

Suddenly they all heard a loud bomb noise. Narumi shot a glance at Izuka and ran to the sound. 

She had no idea what could've happened,but thank God for Narumi's speed. Within minutes she was witnessing Toneri fighting against Naruto,and Hinata was beside Toneri's side. Weird thing was..she wasn't fighting against him. 

"Hinata!" Narumi looked as Naruto threw rasenshurikens towards Toneri. And without actually thinking,Narumi jumped up to Naruto and helped him out. 

"Left,make a run for her,I'll take care of him." He did as he was told and ran. 

Just then Narumi activated her sharingan and her byakugan. She looked into Toneri's eyes,and tried catching it. But he wasn't falling for it.. 

"Lightning style,storm knifes!" Narumi's palms clapped together and from her hands shot lightning knife-alike storm bolts. They were black,pitch black with a spark to them. 

But before he blocked it. It gave Narumi enought time to run towards him and take our her blade. As she did he lifted up in the air with Hinata on a round alike machine. Her blade his the edge of it and she held onto it as they flew up. 

"Hinata!" Narumi called. "Get out of here! GO!" But Hinata only looked down at the ground,as if she couldn't answer Narumi at all. 

Only then,when Narumi concentrated on Hinata,Toneri had grasped onto her wrist. "I think I'll take you with me." 

And then they were gone,the only sound she heard was Sasuke screaming her name.
