-Three Days Later-

"Love....?" I hear a quiet voice and I'm nudged over. I slowly open my eyes and look up.

"You're awake!" I jump up and kiss Niall's forehead. I wrap my arms around his shoulders and hug him. "You're alive!"

"Of course I'm alive." He smiles. "You're hurting me." I jump off and land in my chair.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry!" I grab his hand. "How are you feeling?" I trace my fingers on his knuckles.

"Sore. My knee is killing me." He blinks a couple times and let's his head fall back.

"Would you like me to get the nurse?" I scoot closer to him.

"If you would, it would be lovely." He half smiles and I stand up. I enter the hall and walk up to the desk.

"Niall'a awake now....he's in a bit of pain and would like something for it." I say to the lady sitting there.

"He's been awake for about two hours now." She looks up and my mouth drops. That little Blondie.... "I'll be in with some pain pills as soon as I can." I thank her and head back to his room.

"Why didn't you wake me up right when you woke up!?" I sit back down and cross my legs.

"We'll be honest here. When I woke up, I was completely dazed. I had no idea where I was and  everything hurt. You didn't need to be awake for that love." He says and I relax a little. The nurse comes in and helps Niall readjust himself.

"So what hurts? Your incision in your knee or your joint?" She sets a pillow under his knee. "The surgery went well and the pain should start to minimize once your body gets used to it." Niall has been under since the accident and through the knee surgery.

"Pretty much every bruise on my body I guess. But my knee is the worst." He says as she hands him some pills.

"We need to get you up and walking on that today." The nurse says and heads to the door. "I'll have to speak with the doctor and get you a walker or something." She turns and leaves.

"You hear that?! I can't even lift it and she expects me to walk?!" He says, getting frustrated.

"You'll do just fine. I know it'll hurt but Niall, I pushed a baby out of me. I think you can do it." I settle back into the seat.

"Alright? Are you ready Niall?" The nurse comes back into the room just as Niall finishes his dinner. "You have to do it eventually." She looks over at me.

"Come on Niall." I stand up and pull his walker over to him.

"I don't wanna use that. I'll feel like an old man." He grumbles and swings his legs off the edge of the bed.

"You are. Now cooperate." I say and help him get on his feet.

"Holy hell...." He cringes as stands. He grabs the walker and takes a few small steps.

"You have to walk the hall at least once tonight." The nurse says and walks out.

"Cute ass. I'll tie your robe." I laugh as he slowly walks past me. He grabs the back of it and looks at me, his face red. "Something wrong Horan?"

"You saw my bum!" He continues to blush.

"It was adorable." I poke his nose and we finally make it out the door.

When we do  make it back to the bed he closes his eyes. "Was that so hard?" I ask and sit down.

"Yes! Yes it was!" He frowns and swallows the next set of pills he has to take. "Are you going home tonight?"

"Yeah...tomorrow we're finalizing my divorce." I say and look away.

    "I know Mads..." He says.

"I really don't want to do it..." I say and finally look up at him.

"Just get home, get a good nights sleep." He says as I stand up.

"Alright... if you say so." I kiss his forhead and hug him tight. "See you some time soon I guess." I walk out of the room to my car. The fans and the press haven't left for three days. It's been that long and everywhere I look they're there. They call scream questions as I walk past them and I get to my car.

I finally pull into Niall's driveway and unlock the door. I guess I should sleep. Tomorrow is a start of another part of my life I guess.
