 (A/N: Surprise! Epilogue na.

Unfortunately, I caught the varicella-zoster virus. In a more simpler term: Chickenpox. And I'm advised to stay home for a week or more.

I've decided to publish the Epilogue. Yes, eto na talaga ang katapusan. I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks for making it this far.)

Epilogue

"KUYA, THAT'S a stupid idea," I tell kuya Nick. His idea is to make me go out of the country. I've finally decided to take a break from my career. It's been too much for me to handle. I want to know my son and spend more time with him . . . and Victoria.

Mariin akong pumikit nang naisip ko siya. She's hid our son from me for three years. I'm angry at her for hiding him from me. Ipinagkait niya ang anak namin sa'kin.

I didn't contact her or text her. She's tried to contact me, but I ignored her. I didn't want to say bad things to her. Words that come out from the spur of anger are usually the words we say that we end up regretting. And I don't want to tell her hurtful things just because I'm angry.

No matter how much I want to cuss at her for what she's done, I couldn't bring myself to.

I'm trying to cool my head. I want to be ready when I face her again. Gusto kong kalmado na ako at nasa tamang katinuan pag nagkausap kami.

And my threat to take our son away from her was bogus. There's no way I would take away our son from her. I don't want to just be with my son. I want to be with her and my son.

"It's not stupid, lil' bro," he says. "Kung mahal ka talaga niya, hahabulin ka niya. Parang sinusubukan mo din siya. Wag kang mag-alala sa flight mo, sila Elliot na ang bahala diyan. Kung hahabulin ka ni Victoria at pipigilan ka niya, edi i-kansel mo. Kung hindi, aba mag enjoy ka nalang sa trip mo sa Paris."

"You're scheming again, Nicholas," ani kuya Brad.

"Diyan ako magaling." Kuya Nick shrugs. "Pero akalain mo, tama pala ako na may anak talaga siya. Tinik mo, lil' bro. Naunahan mo pala ako!" he exclaims.

"Shut up, Nicholas. We're having a serious moment here," suway ni kuya Brad.

Kuya Brad, being the oldest, is the most serious and responsible one among the three of us. Well, he was only a teen back when he shouldered the responsibility of taking over our father's company. Kuya Nick is more laid-back and playful, nonetheless, he's still responsible. He wasn't a top-notcher in the bar exam for nothing.

"Okay, fine, I'll be serious." Kuya Nick rolls his eyes.

"I don't know what to do anymore. I'm damn confused right now," I tell them.

Kuya Nick turns to look at me. "Bro, jut a brotherly love advice. I rarely say corny shits like this, so listen carefully." I just nod, looking at him as I wait for what he's about to say. Kuya Nick is the most mischievous out of the three of us, and right now, he suddenly looks serious. The trace of his playfulness is all gone now. "Sometimes you have to leave in order to know if the person really wants you in her life. Or in your case, threaten to leave. You'll know if you're really important to her if she's afraid to lose you. She'll make you stay." He pats my back. "Have some faith in her. Trust me."

And so I go through his plan.

Every minute feels like torture. Tinignan ko ang relo ko. It's already quarter to three. I want her to make me stay in her life. I want her to stop me from leaving. She should know about my departure by now.
