The Search is On

After a long, tiring day at work, and after hanging with some friends, you decided to go back to your warm, cozy home to rest. "Ah, it's good to be back home," you happily sighed to yourself. As you searched for your key inside your purse, you noticed that once again, you forgot your keys in the house. "Oh, crap! Now what?" You asked yourself as you pushed your face unto the window that looked into the living room.
You sighed heavily and turned around, making your way to the steps of your porch. As you sat down to think of a solution, the sky above you darkened for a few split seconds due to a shadow above you. As you looked up, you saw Rouge the Bat flying to the North. "I wonder what she's up to?" You asked yourself. Suddenly, she stopped and looked around, eventually seeing you. She flew quickly towards you, landing on her feet. "Hey, (y/n), I'm glad I spotted you. I need help. Have you seen Shadow by any chance?" Rouge asked. You shrugged and shook your head no. "Well, thanks anyways. Rats! I need to find him. The GUN commander has a mission for us," Rouge explained as she paced back and forth, holding a finger to her chin.
You felt bad for Rouge, and you had nothing better to do, since you locked yourself outside again, so you stood to your feet. "I'll help you in finding him, if you'd like?" You suggested. Rouge smiled and nodded. "That would be nice," she answered. Together, you then set out on a search for Shadow.
