Fractured Friendship (Silver's POV)

It's been a few days since I've last talked to Sonic, or anyone else for that matter. I continued having sleepless nights ever since and became more grumpy and aggravated as the days progressed. I wanted so badly to talk to someone and to ask for help, but no one was available. Everyone was setting up weeks before for the 4th of July, and wanted to make sure we had one of the best firework shows since year 2006. Everyone else will enjoy it...all except me.
I liked fireworks, but in my dreams, fireworks cracked and thundered through the sky and canceled out the sounds of (Y/N's) powerful destruction. I was afraid this 4th of July might just be the very setting to which our demise comes upon us. I think about my dreams everyday, and whenever I see (y/n), I always get an unsettling feeling. Will she really be our enemy in the near future?
I continued to ponder about my dreams, that is until I heard a familiar voice. "Hey, Silver! What's up?" (Y/n) said as she runs towards me. I was standing on a small bridge in the park as I looked into the water to reflect upon my thoughts since the afternoon. When I saw (y/n) running for me, I froze and began to sweat. I didn't want to face her.
Suddenly, (y/n) stopped in front of me and panted for a few moments. She then wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a hug, which was normal since we hugged as friends. I was nervous and squirmed a bit. I wanted free so I gave her some pats on the back and quickly pulled away. I noticed (y/n) was smiling big as she held something up in front of me. "Remember how we wanted to go see that one movie? Well, guess who got us tickets for tonight?" She said happily. I gasped! How was I going to deal with tonight as I spend time with a potential killer of the future?
(Y/N) shoved the ticket into my hand and winked. "Let's hope you don't get too scared because I hear there's a lot of jumps scares," (y/n) said mischievously. I sweated some more. I had to get out of this situation. "(Y/n), uh, I know we planned on going ever since last month when I asked you for that one date, which was canceled, but I-I can't make it," I said, bracing myself for a slap in the face. I open my eyes after a few moments of silence. Instead of anger, I see pain in (Y/N's) face.
"Silver, how could you just bail out on me like that? I paid an arm and a leg for those tickets and they were hard to come by. Don't you like me anymore?" (Y/N) asked as small tears began to form in her eyes. I opened my mouth but couldn't speak. It was true that ever since my dreams have occurred I've become distant but I did still have feelings for (Y/N). I reached out my arms, in order to hug (Y/N) so I may calm her down, but it was no use. (Y/N) pulled away, turned around, and stomped off, yelling out, "YOU'RE AN IDIOT, SILVER!"
