Beaten badly by Silver, Nazo dragged himself to the front door. He reached weakly for the knob until the door flung open. "Ha! I knew you were sneaking out every night!" You exclaimed proudly. You smirked, knowing you had caught him at last. Unfazed, Nazo sighed and lightly pushed you aside. "Leave me be. Now, I'm going to bed, and I believe you should get there, too," He said, taking the stair railing in hand.
Your eyes opened widely as you became dumbfounded. What happened to him? You thought. You trailed behind Nazo as he limped up the stairs. You noticed he had a huge burn mark, that had not been healed yet, across the entire front of his body. Curiousness arose and you wanted so badly to ask what had happened.
Nazo turned to look at you since he noticed you staring. "You are probably curious as to what had happened. Am I correct?" Nazo mumbled. You shyly nod. Nazo weakly smiled and chuckled as he made it up the last step. "Well, the good news is that I have this," Nazo said, holding up the green Chaos Emerald. He frowned then started walking towards his room.
"And?" You say softly. Nazo stopped as he took out his key, he then froze. "Wait, how did you get out of your room? I always lock you in there at night," he asked. You smirk. "You must've forgot to tonight," you chuckle. Nazo sighed and opened the door to his room. "Then get in there now so I don't forget to lock the door this time," he ordered.
You pout then make your way to your room. "He didn't even tell me what had happened," you grumbled as you waited for Nazo by your door. Suddenly, you hear a big thud in Nazo's room. Peaking in, you gasp as you notice Nazo had fallen to the ground. He twitched in pain as he laid on his stomach. You smirked and approached him.
He looked up to you as you towered over him. "How pathetic!" You mock him. He growled at you and began flinching in pain again. You're grinning face softened when you felt slightly bad for your kidnapper. I guess I should help him out, you thought. Being careful of his wound, you wrapped your arms around him and pulled him up. "What're you doing?" He asked, weakly. You held him closely and tried your best to drag him over to the bed, since you weren't as strong as Nazo when carrying someone.
"Well, the least I can do is help you to your bed," you answer him. Suddenly, Nazo's face opened up in surprise towards your actions. Finally, you laid him down on his back then pulled the covers up to his neck. Nazo then took his arms out of the covers, and pulled his pillow closer as he turned onto his side. Not looking at you, he muttered something silently. You couldn't catch what he had said, but you believed it was a thank you.
You quietly leave Nazo's room after noticing he had started to drift off to sleep. You closed the door as you lightly leaned your back against it. You smirked mischievously. "This would be the perfect moment to try and make my escape," you say. You tiptoed away from Nazo's room and make your way into your room to collect your things. You stuffed your clothes that he had given you into a suitcase, and you gathered your art and writing supplies that kept you occupied.
Finally, you rushed quietly down the hallway as you looked for a way out. You didn't worry much since you had most of the night to escape. Unfortunately, you were unaware just how secure the place was. Also, Nazo may have been injured, but he was a fast healer. Underestimating the possibilities of failure or success, you continued on your quest to escape.
