Nazo X Reader -Acceptance is Everything-

Rouge's Reproach

     "Ah yes! You're all mine for the taking," Rouge said as she looked happily at the huge, green, Master Emerald. She came closer and hugged the gem, admiring its beauty. Rouge had come for the Master Emerald while Knuckles, the guardian of the Master Emerald, stayed behind with Sonic and friends to watch the fireworks. Suddenly, Rouge, with her sensitive hearing, heard you calling for help and your words being muffled. She looked up to see you thrashing in Nazo's arms.
     "Ugh, you're lucky I cannot kill you right now because I need your powers," Nazo growled. "I don't think so!" Rouge exclaimed, flying in front of Nazo. You looked at her, worried for her safety. "No, Rouge! He's too powerful. I don't want you getting hurt. Please leave before it's too late," you pleaded. Rouge continued to block Nazo and readied a fighting stance. "No way! I'm not leaving one of my best friends alone with some strange hedgehog who wants to hurt them. Hyia!" Rouge said as she began to fight, swinging a foot at Nazo. Rouge's attacks were failing. No matter how quick or powerful her attacks were, Nazo just as easily blocked her attacks by being faster at moving or dodging out if the way.
     "Rouge, stop! He's too powerful and if you both keep fighting, he's going to drop me," you say as you hold tightly unto Nazo, after almost falling with Rouge's last attack. Rouge clenched her fists. "It'd be wise to listen to your friend. If you don't want her to get hurt, I suggest you leave," Nazo smirked. Rouge sighed. How was she going to help you? Suddenly, she gasped and smiled.
     "Alright, I'll leave, but promise me you won't hurt, (y/n)," Rouge said, still smiling. Nazo simply nodded and pointed to his right, signaling Rouge to leave. Rouge flew to his right, leaving you alone with him again. Nazo fixed your position in his arms and began to fly again. You sighed, wishing you were free. Suddenly, you felt a sharp pain and your vision went black. "Ahhhhhh!" You screamed, as you fell out of Nazo's arms.
     A pair of arms then scooped you out of the sky. Your vision cleared and you saw Rouge wink at you. "Rouge, you saved me!" You said happily. "Of course I did. I may have wandered far from the Master Emerald by now, but a friend is more valuable than any gem," she said as her eyes softened. You smile back then frowned. "Wait, where's Nazo? And how'd you take him out?" you ask. Rouge smiled proudly. "I launched a sneak attack. He was off guard when I hit him. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where he is now," she answered.
     "Hiya!" A familiar voice exclaimed. Suddenly, Rouge lost her grip on you and was sent plummeting into the ground. Nazo smirked evilly. Suddenly, he used Chaos Control to teleport in front of you, catching you from your fall. "Alright, now that that's taken care of, let's continue," he said proudly, due to his easy victory. As you hold tight to Nazo, you look down. You couldn't see where Rouge had fallen, but you hoped she was alright.
