Miscommunication

Three days had passed and finally, Tails, Knuckles, Silver and Shadow set off to go find Rouge. "So, Shadow, where are we meeting Rouge at?" Tails asked as he kept an eye on his radar. Shadow was standing on the right wing of the plane while Knuckles stood on the left, and Silver flew next to the X Tornado. Shadow looked over at Tails in confusion. "What?! Didn't Faker tell you? He was the last one who had talked to Rouge," He said. The others looked at him with widened eyes.
     "Oh, so we are going to destination Nowhere! That's just great!" Knuckles said sarcastically. Tails began to sweat and tried thinking of what to do. "Listen, let's keep searching. If we find the other groups, they can maybe help us find Rouge or maybe even Sonic," he said as he looked around at everyone. "Hmph! No! That'll take too long! I want answers now! You can do as you like, but I'm getting the information I need now, on my own!" Shadow declared. Everyone gasped. "But, Shadow...we need you, a-and what if we get attacked again? We need your help!" Tails said with saddened eyes.
Shadow turned his head, facing away from all of them. "...That's your problem..." he said. Tails was about to stop him but Shadow used Chaos Control and vanished. "I...can't believe he just left us," Silver said with a frown. Tails suddenly slammed his fists down on the control panel as he lowered his head. "This group...is falling apart! Can't anyone focus or cooperate...?" He said. Knuckles and Silver stayed silent but they did agree with him. The young fox took a big breath and started tinkering with the transmission radio he had while also trying to fly the plane. It was a bit hard multitasking but he soon got the hang of it.
Knuckles looked down at Tails. "What're you doing?" He asked. Tails ignored his question, mostly because he was concentrating. He looked to Silver which gave him a shrug as a response. They both looked back over at Tails and watched him tinkering around. "There! Now I can try and contact Sonic. It just depends on how far the connection can reach and how far away Sonic is," the fox said. The others smiled, and hoped that they could reach Sonic.
     "Sonic, come in! Sonic, do you read me?" Tails said. All they heard was static at first but then they heard a voice briefly come in. "Sonic? Is that you?" Tails asked. A bit more static sounded then finally only a few clicks were heard. "Tails? I think we're good now," Sonic said. Tails smiled, glad he got through to him. "Sonic, you left without telling us Rouge's location. Now Shadow is gone. Our group is falling apart! Please tell me you have some news," Tails said. Sonic was a bit silent and clicks sounded through the radio. "Unfortunately, I forgot where Rouge said she wanted to meet us. The good news is I got an emerald," Sonic said. Knuckles huffed. "One emerald? That's it? We don't even need them, we need to get (y/n) back!" He said. Tails shook his head. "It's better than Eggman or Nazo having the emeralds," he stated.
     "I agree. Listen, like Rouge told me, look for a suspicious looking building. One possibly with an electric fence. That's all I remember," Sonic said over the radio. Tails smiled, thinking that was a helpful clue. It would also be easy spotting it from the air too! "Thanks, Sonic! I'll contact you later if we find something," Tails said happily then turned off the radio. "Keep an eye out for a suspicious building, possibly one with a big electric fence," he told Knuckles and Silver. They nodded and kept their eyes peeled. 'Don't worry (y/n). We're on our way!' Tails thought confidently. Little did our heroes know though, finding the right building would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
