Nazo X Reader -Acceptance is Everything-

The Aqua Emerald

Through the deserts, into the cities, past the countrysides, and by the water Sonic ran. It has been another two weeks and he had checked the whole country he was on, twenty times in the past few weeks, but still had no luck in finding Nazo or (y/n). He soon stopped running and plopped onto a rock on the beach. He placed his face into his palms as his elbows rested on his knees. He sighed and puffed air out of his lips as he closed his eyes.
"I wish this would've never happened...," Sonic said, softly to himself. His ears and tail lowered in disappointment. Sonic sat there quietly as he tried to think of what to do. The sand his feet were planted on, shifted with a smooth, soft, gritting sound beneath his shoes. The ocean sounded behind him and the seagulls sounded their bird calls. All was peaceful, and that's all Sonic wanted for everyone. Suddenly, Sonic heard footsteps on the sand and his ears perked up. Standing there was a human, teenage girl and a young boy.
"Hey, aren't you Sonic the Hedgehog?" The girl asked, happily. Sonic looked up at her as he still rested his head in one palm while resting his other arm on his knee. "Yeah, that's me. What can I do for ya kids?" He answered politely. The kids smile and the young boy held out his hands. "Our mom told us that you collect these pretty rocks. We wanted to give this to you since we don't need it. A boy came to our neighborhood and was handing three of them out and gave one to us," the girl answered.
Sonic glanced at the rock then sat up quickly. "A Chaos Emerald," he said in awe. He gently took it from the boy's hands and looked at it. The light blue Emerald pulsed as it glowed brightly. He then squeezed it tightly in a bit of anger. It was the Chaos Emerald that Nazo emerged from when he first arrived. He sighed then smiled at the kids. "Thanks! It's good that I have this now and not the enemy," Sonic said. The kids smiled in agreement. They talked a bit then the kids headed back home. Sonic stood from the rock he sat on, and looked to the water.
"How can I get across to get to another country?" He asked himself as he scratched his head. Suddenly, he looked at the Emerald. "Can I use Chaos Control? What if I end up in the ocean? I'm not as good at using Chaos Control like Shadow," Sonic said to himself as he scratched his head. He clenched the Emerald. I've got to try, he thought to himself. He held up the Emerald and closed his eyes, being a bit hesitant. "Chaos Control!" He shouted. He suddenly vanished into thin air.
