The Captured Chaos Emerald & the Negative Nuisance

(Amy's POV)
     "Where are we going?" I asked Blaze while looking at her. Even though I broke the silence that once again surrounded us, Blaze still preferred to be silent it seemed. She was like this for eight days straight, ever since we got the Chaos Emerald from that boy. It always seemed like she was thinking hard about something. "...We're following the Emerald... I know it is somehow leading us somewhere. We'll possibly find.... um, what was his name again?" She said, now looking at me. It was about time she talked to me! "Nazo. At least that's what I was told. I didn't really get to meet the guy personally but I remember seeing him when he first appeared. Sonic and Shadow had to fuse in order to beat him," I replied. Blaze nodded and looked at the Chaos Emerald, once again with a a long stare as if she was in deep thought.
     "I see. Why exactly did Sonic and Shadow have to fight him? What was Nazo trying to do?" She asked. The question seemed to catch me off guard at first but then I tried remembering the events from a few years ago so I could fill her in on what happened. "Nazo was trying to destroy the earth so that the Master Emerald could be destroyed beyond repair so that he wouldn't be bound by it anymore. That's all I was told. He really hated Sonic the most for some reason though and was determined to destroy him, which makes me wonder why...." I said while looking up in thought. Blaze simply hummed in understanding then silence once again surrounded us as we continued walking for awhile and boy was it annoying.  "Over there," Blaze suddenly said out of the blue. I looked to my right and saw a mansion which had a huge, wide open garden.
     "That mansion might be where Nazo is. The Emerald is reacting as if there are more nearby or possibly just Chaos energy," Blaze said. I wasn't too sure about the idea but followed her anyways. I had a bad feeling and felt as though Nazo would've found a more secretive place to hide. That's when it hit me! "Blaze, wait! Remember the message that was passed around by the other search groups before? This is likely a waste of time because that mansion doesn't have an electric fence! The building we are looking for supposedly does according to everyone else!" I said, sounding a bit annoyed. I can't believe we were following an Emerald and ended up at some random location where Nazo likely wouldn't be at. Blaze continued looking at the building then pointed toward the roof. "Are you certain about that?" she said.
     "Huh?" I turned to look at the mansion and immediately my green eyes opened wide. "It's him!" I gasped. Standing on the rooftop was none other than Nazo, standing tall with his arms crossed. After looking in our direction, he smirked and jumped to the ground. "Where's Y/N?! You better start talking mister before I pound some sense into you!" I threatened as I wielded my hammer, ready to swing. I was honestly very scared inside but I was determined to save Y/N. He only seemed to be amused by my threat which angered me so I started running, raising my hammer. "Amy, no!" I heard Blaze shout. I didn't listen. I swung quickly with lots of force but the unthinkable happened. He grabbed my hammer and swung me around, throwing me into the mansion wall. I whimpered and groaned in pain. My hammer was only feet away but I was too sore to move in order to get it.

(Blaze's POV)
     My eyes widened as I saw that Amy was thrown hard enough to really injure her. She was right about him being powerful. I'll show him! No one messes with the only friends I have! With burning anger in my eyes, my hands engulfed themselves in flames. That devious smirk never left his face so to make myself more intimidating, I levitated and fully bursted into flames. "Do you really think you can stop me? If I can take down "the ultimate lifeform", I can take you down just as well," he said. He was probably right but I wasn't going to give up!
     I growled lowly then launched my attack. I came at him quickly, throwing large bursts of flames in his direction as I also used my flames to increase my speed. He dodged a few times but at one point I managed to flick some flames onto his fur. He quickly patted it out before it could cover him fully then he healed the burn marks immediately! How do you beat him?! Swiftly, I jumped back and swung my leg, catching him off guard. I kicked him hard but he only stumbled back a bit and seemed to get agitated. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Amy weakly sneaking up behind him. Now, just to keep his guard down by making him focus on me.
     I pretended to get into a fighting stance, saving time for Amy's attack. I watched as she lifted her hammer and swung it downward. Suddenly, within milliseconds, Nazo turned around and released a beam of energy which ultimately destroyed Amy's hammer! He then sent a punch into her gut, making her spit up blood and fall to the ground. I wanted to scream at him, but my mouth only hung open in angered shock! He obviously wasn't merciful toward anyone! "You'll regret that!" I hissed as my entire body engulfed in flames. I could feel my soul burning as my anger took over.
     "What exactly makes you think you can stop me?" He asked, looking over his shoulder. I didn't answer his question. I was done talking!  Instantly, I raised my hand out in front of me and made a large column of fire burst up from the ground. Finally I had covered him completely. I watched him clench his jaw and growl as he endured the flames. "My determination will stop you!" I exclaimed, now taking off toward him. Right before I reached him, I jumped into the air and spun around, creating a fiery tornado. Instead of moving, he raised his hand and sent an energy beam at me that had a large radius. It had made me stop spinning so I could jump to safety but the next thing I knew, he had headed into the sky and boosted downward toward us.

(Nazo's POV)
     I accelerated downward and quickly doused myself with the water of the mansion's fountain, putting the flames out. Now that that was done, and now that I was healed, I quickly flew toward my opponents. I sent multiple energy orbs their way, firing rapidly from my hands. I stayed airborne in order to have better control of my surroundings, which gave me the upper hand. The only one I seemingly had to focus on at that moment was the aggressive cat.
I was going to finish this quickly so I waited for the right moment to strike a simple but effective attack. That would be the same one I used on Heat Knuckles during the time I had first come into this pathetic world. As I waited to strike, I dodged or blocked any attacks coming my way. The feline seemed quite tired out, so it gave me the perfect opportunity to strike. I planted my feet onto the ground and waited for her to attack me first. She panted then stood up a little more straight. However, her hedgehog friend was still down which was fine with me.
"I must admit, you are quite the fighter but your attempts are in vain," I said with a smirk. I noticed her expression changing, looking angrier by the second. Suddenly, she launched herself forward and sent an attack straight for me. It looked similar to Sonic's spin dash, which would be even more easier for me to deflect. When she was close enough, I whipped my arm at her, backhanding her extremely hard. Immediately she flung to my right and plummeted at a sharp angle into the ground. Since she was down, and seemingly unconscious, I made my way over and retrieved the Emerald. The plan I had made in order to use my energy to lure them there and take the Emerald was a success! I simply smirked as I looked down at her and used Chaos Control to return to my temporary residence.
