Lyria POV
"Oomf," I groaned as I rolled off the bed and face-planted the cold bedroom floor.
I rubbed my bleary eyes and looked up to find my brother burying his face into my pillow.
" I'M GONNA ROCK THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" Dayn shot up, declaring like how Tarzan emits a cry.
I've grown accustomed to the way my brother would wake me up after all these years. I still remembered the first time he did that. I screamed so loud till the neighbours at our hometown woke up.
" ROCK IT THE RIGHT WAY, DAYN!" Ma shouted across the house. I peered out of my bedroom door, to find Ma facing us, lying on the bed in her bedroom just opposite mine.
"Yes, Ma! Let's go, Lyria! " Dayn replied cheekily and instantly, I was dragged around the house by Dayn as we brushed our teeth and hurried down to the living room for breakfast, running up to our bedrooms again to grab our bags.
"Off we go!" I sneaked a glance at my older brother who was bouncing down the pavement, exclaiming as I locked the main door of the house.

Finally, the plan we had put together days ago was going to take action today after school.
1) Everyone was going to pretend that they were going home early that day so Berlin was bound to follow suit and go home too.
2) Rain will send the code word 'AIDS' to our whatsapp group chat.
3) Once we received it, we would immediately head off to Awesome Ian's Decoration Store, the biggest decoration store in the neighborhood.
Guess what? We succeeded!
" I didn't know what to respond when Berlin asked me why we were going home so early today. I almost died just now!" Inez exclaimed when everyone finally gathered outside the store that stood prominently in the shopping district.
" We all almost died too. Anyway, let's get to work!" Rain announced excitedly and we marched through the mammoth doors of the store.
The store was unbelievably huge and there was a gigantic variety of decorations, sorted according to their colours and sizes.
" Guys, remember we need monochrome colours!" I said over the bubbly music that was playing throughout the store.
A chorus of 'yes' erupted in the store before we decided that the girls would find white decorations and the boys would find black ones.
Soon, we broke into our respective groups.
" I finally understand why this store is called awesome..." Aranda trailed off as we stared at the amount of decorations hanging on a panel that stretched from one end of the store to the other.
" These ribbons look gorgeous and they have snowflake designs on it!" Inez squealed as she held it delicately in her palm.
" They have a romantic feel to it but I don't think Rain wants his confession to be romantic,"
I shook my head as an amused smile crept into my face." Oh yeah. He said he would feel disgusted just hearing himself say any mushy romantic lines, " Inez smiled and we continued on our quest of searching for decorations.
" Look at that! I think Berlin would like it!" Aranda's eyes went wide as she pointed to a string of white musical notes.
" I think she would love it!" I grinned from ear to ear.
" Let's pick that and... OH THOSE LOOK MARVELOUS!" Inez shrieked. We immediately followed her eyes, finding a pair of Effiel towers with white lacy ribbons on top.
