Mohit
I was having a bad day. It was only Wednesday and things were already going wrong. In the morning my coffee maker spilled everywhere. My commute to work was a traffic jam. In the office my boss chastised me for my reduced efficiency at work. My day was not getting any better either as I was late for Abhishek's wedding reception. Abhishek was my colleague and I had promised to attend his wedding. In order to fulfill my promise I had planned to mark my attendance and quickly bail out of there as I had a dinner date with Alisha later tonight.
All I wished for my date to not go bad like my day so far.
The venue was a big farm house on the highway. I entered the beautifully lit entrance which said WELCOME in big letters next to the heart-shaped board saying ABHISHEK WEDS SUHANA. By the time I showed up everybody seemed to be having a good time which was indicative of the huge amount of alcohol being consumed. It didn't take me long to locate Aman sitting, with other colleagues, around a table. As I walked by their table, I saw Dinesh amongst them. I immediately stopped. I stepped back, found a chair, and settled for a beer.
Believe it or not I was still hiding from Dinesh. I didn't have the courage to face him after the way I insulted him in my apartment. I felt guilty afterwards and wanted to apologize. But with what face would I have turned up to him? I was sure as hell that he would never forgive me for the insult. My deeds were beyond forgiveness. The damage done by me was beyond repair.
I waited patiently for Aman to get alone. Aman got up from his seat after a while and headed straight to the toilet. I followed him. When I got in I took the urinal next to him. He was looking at the dead wall in front of him. He glanced in my direction when he heard me pissing. He looked pissed. May be because he was actually pissing or maybe he made that face after seeing me.
I broke the silence. "Hey, Aman."
He didn't say anything and kept looking at the blank wall. "I know you don't want to talk to me and I totally understand that; but since we are here I want to apologize for the last time. I don't know what happened to me. I know what I did to you was rude and completely wrong from my end and I sincerely apologize for it. I hope you will forgive me."
He kept silent and kept on pissing. I guess he had too many drinks which explained his long pee time. I zipped my pants, washed my hands, and prepared to leave.
"Did you apologize to Dinesh?" his voice reached me at the door.
I turned back and immediately replied. "No. Not yet. But I am gonna real soon."
"You better hurry up because I am not going to forgive you until Dinesh forgives you."
What does that mean?
I was not in the position to argue with him.
"Alright." I said and left.

I was still gathering courage to face Dinesh and the more I was thinking of facing Dinesh the more nervous I was getting; so I took another beer to soothe my nerves. Around the time, I glanced over to my left at the guy, I could see him almost passed out eyes which suggested he has had far too much way too fast. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw him resting his head on his hands as he couldn't keep his head steady. Suddenly, he popped his head up off his hand and stood up. This gave him the spins, so he leaned forward against my back to steady himself. I heard the pre-burp noise and, as I tried to hop out of the way, he threw up down my back and all over my chair. It somehow got in and I had vomit dripping down the crack of my ass right in front of my colleagues. I was total shocked. My day couldn't have gone any worst than this. It was a fucking nightmare.
