I know that I'm never going to be able to walk down the aisle in the shoes that Rosie had picked out for me and now I'm standing in a dressing room in a wedding dress store, in Paris of all places, in a dress that Dani is convinced that I'm going to look good it.

"Darcy, come on!" Rosie complains.

"We wanna see how good you look!" Jadie calls.

"I look stupid! I don't want to come out!" I state.

"Darc, you're gonna look beautiful besides you need a dress to get married in." Rose tells me.

"I'll get married in jeans and Chuck Taylor's." I grumble.

"Darcy Nicole Killinbeck, you will get your scrawny little ass out here and show us that dress or so help me god I will call not only your fiancé but I will call Nikki!" Dani yells and my eyes grow.

Nikki and Tommy are two of the most important people in my life, Nikki is my best friend and Tommy is my soon to be husband. Dani has no problem telling me that she's going to call them. I'm not scared of them or anything but I have enough respect for them that I'll listen to them...and they're bigger than me.

I unlock the door and stand in the doorway. I awkwardly pull the dress down and look at my socked feet, I just realized that my socks don't match. Rosie and Dani make weird squealing noises and Jadie is probably fixing her eyeliner or something, I really don't want to look up at them because I feel extremely uncomfortable.

"Darcy, you look so beautiful!!" Rose squeaks and I shift.

"Let's see what it looks like with the shoes!" Dani says and runs off.

"Darcy, look up." Jade demands and I close my eyes.

I raise my head just as Dani runs back holding up the heels they got me to buy. I'm going to fall on my face while walking down the aisle and my husband would laugh at me and I'll kill him and immediately descend to hell.

"Put them on." Rosie says and pushes them at me.

I awkwardly slip the shoes on and four inches are added to my height, I am almost six foot now and I don't like it. I feel like some sort of goddess or something but I'm extremely uncomfortable about it. I'm too tall and I'm going to fall on my ass or my face or fall in general and everyone is going to laugh.

"Minus the pink and yellow socks with ducks on them, the Yankees cap, the fact that your hair is in a sloppy ponytail, and you looking like Bambi on ice, Darc, you're ready to get married." Rose says and I roll my eyes.

"That's a compliment if I've ever heard one." I joke. "Okay I'll buy and let's get out of here."

I buy the dress and we all start to walk back to our hotel. Jadie and Rosie walk slightly ahead of Dani and I. That's when I notice something different about Dani, she's being really quiet and pulling her jacket tighter around her. I nudge her and she looks over at me.

"What's bugging you, bass player?" I wonder and she sighs.

"Nothing, drummer." Dani mocks and forces a smile.

"Liar." I mutter. "I'm serious, Dani, what the hell is bothering you?"

"Okay but you can't tell CC or Tommy or anyone else until I figure out how to tell my husband." She says and I nod.

"Cross my cold, black, heart." I laugh and she smiles a small smile.

"Before we went back to tour I had to go to the doctors and they looked up my, ahem, girl parts and my uterus is inhabitable. I can't have kids and that's all CC's been talking about lately." Dani admits. "I can't give CC the only thing he's been talking about lately. He's gonna leave me and be with someone that can give him what I can't."

"D, there's other options and CC loves you for some unknown reason." I joke and she hits my arm. "Hey, my cousin Amy is coming to Greece for my wedding and she's an adoption agent. She could put you on contact with an agent and Los Angeles, you and CC would put together an album about your lives and a mother who can't take care of the baby would pick you and you and CC would get a newborn baby." I explain. "Talk to Amy after the wedding or before or whenever you can."

"You're a genius!" Dani squeaks and I laugh. "We could still have a baby."

"See? There ya go, D. You worry too much and you need to consult me once and a while." I joke and she laughs as we walk into the lobby of the hotel.

One of the workers run up to us with our manager and look directly at Rosie. The French worker tries to tell her what's going on but she looks extremely confused. The manager sighs and looks at the singer.

"Your parents called and they need you to call them back as soon as humanly possible." Our manager says. "There's been an accident."

"Okay, yeah." Rose agrees and they walk off to the desk.

We watch as she picks up the phone and dials home. We all watch as pure shock washes over our friend and tears stream down her face. She hangs up the phone and has a few words with our manager before coming back over to us. Rose wipes her eyes and forces a smile.

"Margie was out riding her bike and a car ran through a stop sign and..." She trails off and the tears flood down her face again. "It's really touch and go for right now and I have to be in Texarkana. I'm sorry but the tour has to be cut short and Darc, I'm so sorry I'm going to miss your wedding."

"Rosie, don't worry about it." I promise her. "Your family is more important."

"But your my family too." Rose cries and I hug her.

"But Margie needs you, Ro." I remind her.

"Besides, you'll make her next one." Jadie jokes and she laughs.

Dani can't have kids and Rosie's little sister is in rough shape. Today is just a horrible day, I think hell has froze over as well, I mean I bought a goddamn dress.

I'm not going to be one of those people who are going to get married eight different times, just once. Besides I don't believe in divorce I believe in disappearance. You've been warned Tommy.

I hope he realizes that what kind of asshole he's marrying.
