Girls That Can Play

Tommy

The girls have been working together for about a month and a half and they're finally ready spot start playing shows again. Tonight is their first show back on the bar circuit. Vince, Mick, Nikki, and I are meeting up with Poison (since Dani is dating their guitarists).

Since Dani joined up with Darcy, Jade, and Rose we've been hanging out with Poison a lot more. I mean they're pretty cool guys just as long as they stay away from Darcy. They do that and we'll get along just fine.

The girls have been at the bar for a couple of hours now because they had to do sound check and set up. We walk down the strip as the sun starts to set on our city. Bret, Rikki, Bobby, and CC are all standing outside smoking when we get to the bar.

"Don't we look pretty tonight." Vince mocks Bret. "Who did your makeup?"

In return Bret flips Vince off and we laugh. We talk for a while before going inside, everyone goes to find tables while CC and I go to find our girlfriends.

I find Darcy standing at the bar with Jadie. See Darc is the only girl I can think of that can drink whiskey straight without it having much affect on her. She drinks whiskey and pushes her long red hair behind her shoulders and it shines against her black crop top. Her tattoo leads down to her jean shorts and I smile. My girlfriend is pretty fucking hot.

I wrap my arm around the front of her shoulders from behind.

"Hey Sexy, gotta boyfriend?" I ask in her ear and I hear her laugh.

Darcy turns around in my grasp and she puts her hands up my sides. She smirks up at me.

"Yeah I do. Blond, 6'6, plays for the Kings." Darcy jokes and I smile.

"Looks like I'm kicking ass tonight, babe." I say and lean down to kiss her.

As soon as she starts to kiss me back Rose yells from across the bar.

"Darc! Dani! You can make out with your boyfriends later." She  yells and I laugh.

I look down at Darcy and play with the lengths of her hair.

"Break a leg, babe." I say and she smiles.

"Don't say that, Tommy." She says and I laugh. "I might fall off the drum set and break myself."

"That won't happen, Darcy." I say and kiss her lips.

"You're under estimating my clumsiness." She says when she pulls back.

"Good luck." I say as she turns to head up to the stage.

"Thank you, baby." Darcy calls and I smile.

The girls start to play their set insanely well. I'm not gonna say it too Jadie but I think Dani is a better bass player than Jewl was. Dani and Darcy screw around on stage like Jewl and Darcy would. They screw around with each other the same way Nikki and I would. Maybe it's a relationship between bassists and drummers.

About halfway through the set, Bobby starts laughing for no apparent reason. He points to this couple at the bar. There's this guy who is well into his forties if not fifties (he's kinda familiar but I can't place him) and he's standing with this girl who barley looks legal.

"Drugs or money?" Bobby asks with a laugh.

"I think that's our producer." Mick says with wide eyes.

In that instant Nikki, Vince, and I all gawk at this guy. I mean I knew that I recognized him from somewhere!

"Dude, I thought Tommy was robbin' the cradle." Nikki says and hit his arm.

"She's two years younger than me." I say and Vince stands up.

"I am gonna go talk to him." He states.

"Don't get us fired." Mick says and Vince rolls his eyes.

Within about five minutes they are walking over to us. Mick looks up at me.

"He is a music producer, T-Bone. I don't care what he says about the girls' band, you can't say anything. It might screw us up and it might screw Darcy's band up." He warns me and I nod.

Vince and the producer walk over and they wave.

"Hey Crüe, what brings you hear?" He asks.

"It's a bar, we love drinking." Nikki answers and he laughs.

"My daughter saw this band a month or so back and wants me to sign them. I thought I gonna have to listen to girls who can't play their instruments but they're really good." He explains. "I'm actually thinking of signing them."

"Dude, you totally should!" CC says. "My girlfriend is the bassist and Tom---"

Someone kicked him, I'm just not sure who but he shuts up.

"Tommy is friends with the drummer." He finishes as the girls finish their set.

"Well guys, it's been fun but I've gotta go talk to some new potential clients." The producers says and rubs his hands together.

He walks away and CC looks up at us.

"Okay Nikki, what the hell?" CC demands. "Darcy is Tommy's girlfriend, isn't she?"

"Yes you idiot." Nikki says. "With Darc being Tommy's girlfriend it might've turned him off completely for signing them. You guys are on a different label, it doesn't matter if Dani is your girlfriend."

"Well did you have to break my tibia?" CC wonders and Nikki rolls his eyes.

"You does Dani put up with you? You're so delicate and fragile." He jokes and the blond New Yorker scowls.

I glance over to see our girls smiling and looking to be in their absolute glory. They all stand behind Rose as she talks to the producer, Ro is definitely the mother of the group. They all shake hands and the producer and his daughter walk out of the bar. The four girls stand looking at each other for a minute. Darcy says something and they all smile. I smile and turn back to the table.

"I'd about say that Kristallnacht got their big break." I say and everyone looks over.

I don't think I've ever seen all four of them this happy.

"Tommy and CC are gonna get it good tonight." Vince laughs.
