But nothing came next. He leaned over her body, admiring its beauty, not touching it, just staring at her as if she was some sort of masterpiece. Her eyes were his kryptonite; all she had to do was give him that one look. He needed to breathe a bit, for himself and for Maggie's sake. He nearly took her right then and there. The idea of thrusting into her until she begged for mercy was the only thing he could think of. If only she knew how much he loved her.
He knew he had the ability to make her scream his name in pleasure but that wasn't what he wanted, instead he wanted her to feel much more than the physical pleasure he wanted her to feel that this was more than sex. It was him giving her his everything. He knew once he made love to Maggie there was no going back for her. He wasn't worried about himself and his feelings. He didn't want to rush things. He wanted to take it slow like she asked him.
Of course it wasn't his plan. He would have married her after the first month of dating her, but she needed this slow and he was going to go slow for her.
"What's wrong Jase?" Maggie asked with doe eyes.
God he wanted her so badly. He didn't want her to pull back; she came a long way to trusting him.
"Nothings wrong Maggs." He whispered. "Then why did you stop?" she asked once more.
"believe me Maggs I wanted to continue, I wanted to bury myself in you so deep that you'd beg me to stop, but you said that you wanted to take things slow, so that's what I'm doing, going slow" he ran his hands through his hair.
Maggie was taken aback a bit by the bluntness of his answer, but she sort of felt confused again.
"Jase that was then, when I said slow I meant everything. I think I have established quiet well that I'm ready, I love you Jase, and with that comes trust, trust that I know you won't hurt me now, trust that I'm ready for everything you have to offer me."
Maggie looked down to her folded hands in her lap. She was feeling so shitty right now. Did he think of her as a broken little doll? Someone to fix and now that he has realized that I'm healing on my own he is no longer attracted to me. Was it my selfless worth or broken ness that attracted him to me in the first place? Maggie forgot Jason was still in the room, as she questioned herself repeatedly in her head, and slowly the tears began to slide down her cheek one by one.
"No don't cry Maggs, please tell me what I did to make you cry. Please."
"Why do you want to be with me Jason? Tell me."
"It's simple Maggie. I love you." He said with so much emotion dripping from those words.
"You love me? You loved the idea of fixing me, you loved the idea of how broken I was and that if you stayed around I would depend only on you. You were probably not even attracted to me in the first place." Maggie just sobbed harder.
"Hey." Jason softly cooed. "You listen to me. I love you. I love how strong you are regardless of all the shit you went through. I love how your eyes light up when you sandwich chocolate and biscuits together even though I think it's gross. I love how considerate you are. I love how you can make me smile without trying. I love how I feel when I'm around you. I love how your body feels next to mine, even when we just cuddling on the sofa watching TV. I love you. I'm attracted to you like you wouldn't believe."
"Then why didn't you want to make love to me just now." Maggie questioned in between sobs.
"I want to Maggie I really want to but even now I am confused." He said slightly exasperated.
"Confused about what?" she looked up at him.
"Everything let's just forget it okay. Can I stay the night, I missed you" he pulled her close to his chest.
