Less drama was what I hoped for but that didn't mean it was given to me. The morning after we arrived at the hotel, Abela showed up and tried to cause a scene. It was a mess. A complete mess I tell you.

Then I heard the knock at the door, I decided to let Jason sleep in and therefore I got up to answer the door before the hideous racket woke him. We didn't get to bed till god knows what time.

I opened the door and immediately she started screaming at me in Italian almost as if I would know what it all meant. I had a couple of guesses though. How she got our room number I don't know. With the entire racket going on in the lounge of the hotel suite, Jason woke and came rushing out of the bedroom just in his boxers.

"Oh god" Abela cried holding her head in her hands.

"Please tell me you used protection don't let this little skunk trap you with bastard kids son."

"Madre" Jason screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Will you please stop this? What does it matter if she falls pregnant? That is all I would want, to build a family with her. And until she is ready I will hold off trying to get her pregnant, besides mother it's none of your business."

Jason dropped down on the sofa. His head lowered to the ground. When he looked back up I saw tears in his eyes. I didn't know if I should go over to him and comfort him or run out the door which still stood wide open now. The hotel manager was waiting outside, I assumed he too didn't want to get in the middle of what he juts heard. I saw him usher the other guest back into their rooms and then when he passed me by he motioned for me to close the door.

I would have run but I was in my pj's, I wasn't exactly going to walk out the front door in hello kitty pj's, so I did the next best thing and crept silently into the kitchen and thought it was best to hide out here until Jason and Abela have sorted it out.

I was marching up and down for more than two or three hours. After the first hour and half of shouting Abela and Jason quieted down I was still too terrified of walking past the lounge. That woman saw red whenever she looked at me. I didn't want to ignite her anger.

Maybe I should bake something, but here wasn't anything. Maybe I could ring the hotel and request for them to send me some stuff. Just flour, eggs and milk should do for flap jacks and some fresh fruit. I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of a bother. I know Jason is very well known here. I stood against the counter. Tapping my forefinger against my head contemplating whether I should call down or not when Jason came walking into the kitchen and came to stand in front of me.

"Madre just left. I spoke to her and hopefully she understands me a bit better now, you know we've never had such a big disagreement like this and I guess it was hard for both me and her. But I actually do believe she will listen to me more attentively from now on and that brings me to this next part..."

Jason trailed off from what he was about to say next.

"Do you have any family members that you know of or that you have been in touch with?" I looked at him confused. Why would he want to know about family?

"No I don't remember any of them, although I think my mum had a brother but I'm not sure. Why Jason what's going on?" I folded my arms across my chest narrowing my eyes at him. What is he up to now?

He started scratching his head, and then rubbed his beard that was now way past being the rouged five o clock shadow.

"I kind of told Madre that we're getting um er married in eight months." He looked down, not being able to look me square in the eye at his little confession.
