I helped sally remove the bags from the boot of the car. She barely looked at me. Yes I won the world's worst best friend 2016 award. But sometimes one had to do what was needed in sally's case it was needed to play it out like that. I needed to do some serious suing up and I was planning on doing that when she was just about tipsy.

That was the relationship that sally and I had. We could social together without so much saying a word. We did it many times before. This was no different.

WRONG!!! Through the whole first movie and first bottle of wine I kept getting murderous glares from Sal. I decided to ditch her half way through the movie and headed up to have that bath with my glass of wine.

I closed my eyes and succumbed to wondrous feeling of the hot water.

The door opened. Sally stuck her head inside.

"There's some one at the door for you. I told him you were in the bath and he insisted on waiting outside. Do you want me to send him away?" sally asked.

"Did he say what his name was?" I asked popping the bubbles and giggling. This wine was sure helping me relax or maybe it was just the nostalgia of having a bubble bath.

"No but he is outside waiting. Just thought I'd let you know. I'm going to bed. I have had a long shitty day. I've locked the door. Just so know."

She closed the door and I got up out of the bath. my curiosity getting the better of me. I threw on the bathrobe behind the door and went down stairs.

I unlocked the door and looked outside to where the black Lexus was parked. it was hard to see whom was waiting because of the dark tint on the windows. I was about to pull my head back inside until the car door opened and out stepped the silhouette from earlier. He came up the walk way to the front door.

Why I still kept it open I wasn't sure. I should have just closed it in his damn face for him to finally get the message, but apart of me wanted to know why he was here.

"I'm sorry to barge in on like this but I needed to know you were okay. I nearly knocked you over with my car this afternoon and then you just carried on across the street to the store as if nothing happened. You looked out of it. I'm worried. sweetheart." he stood before me and the laugh lines in his face where now replaced with lines of tension and he wrinkled his forehead.

"I.. i...I am j.. j.. just h.. h.. having a... a... b.. B...bad day that's all. Thank you for your concern though." I shivered. It wasn't a good idea getting out of a warm bath to answer the door but someone was  extremely curious after a few glasses of wine and thought they were super girl.

"Why don't we get you inside? You're freezing I wouldn't want you to die because of hypothermia." he ushered me back indoors.

I said nothing just stared at him being all gentle with me. Why didn't he stay with me back then? I caught myself thinking.
