I sit on my bed nervous for tonight. You guessed it. It's Saturday, the day of the party Derek is taking me to. Ever since what happened Wednesday he hasn't once tried to contact me. But what was I thinking? Why would I expect him to text, call, message me at all? I'm just worried that he wasn't overly impressed with me on Wednesday and isn't going to take me to the party. So I'm left here sitting on my bed like an idiot while Darcy and all my 'friends' are having fun at some party I don't even want to go. Wait... I don't even want to go to this party... Why did I agree for Derek to take me? Why do I care if people are even having fun at the party? I don't even want to go! A knock at my door distracts me and I knew it was Derek. I wonder over to the door not sure if I should open. Maybe I could pretend I'm out? No my car's still here... I sigh before opening it the see Derek standing there in black jeans, a white shirt and a black leather jacket.

"Ready to go?" He asks. I stare at his sunken in cheeks and his stubble surrounding his face. He honestly is beautiful.

"Um yeah, I just need to get my phone" I say turning and walking back over to my bed side table. As I grab my phone, I fix up grey jacket that hung off my shoulders. My black tank top and my high waisted blue jeans only showing a bit of skin from my stomach. I let my hair flow out and I didn't have much make up on.

"You dress much different to when you're with Darcy then when it's just you." Derek comments as I lock the door behind me, ready to leave with him.

"Is that a good thing?" I question. He stares at me for a few seconds before smiling.

"Let's go" He says as we walk down the corridor to the stairs then to the car park. We get into his black car before driving to the party. The drive was quiet but not boring. Especially to the fact Derek had his hand on my thigh. My hands play with my phone not sure what to do. By the time we got to the party it was almost nine. We get out of the car walking to the backyard. The backyard wasn't overly big mostly to the fact it had a swimming pool in the middle of it. As soon as people came into view, Derek puts his arm around my waist, directing me over to the only people I knew. Are they always at these parties?

"You made it!" Darcy giggles hugging me causing Derek's hand to drop from my waist. I hug her back before suddenly I feel Lydia hug me. I smile at her placing myself back next to Derek. He looks older then everyone here even though I'm pretty sure he, Darcy and Isaac are the same age. It's just his facial hair, the stubble on his chin and sunken cheeks, that makes him look older. His hand lands on my back as if he wanted people to think I was his. As everyone stood there, chatting amongst each other, I found myself drawn into the conversation every once in a while. I wasn't sure what they were talking about half the time but it didn't bother me.

"Hey" Isaac comes up behind me.

"Isaac!" I smile wide, hugging him tightly.

"I didn't think you were coming" I admit still smiling at him.

"Well I guess the thought of you being here encouraged me to come" He smirks as I try to stop myself from giggling like an idiot. I shake my head finally letting out a few chuckles. My head drops before looking back up to him in which he was already looking at me, his smile not leaving his face.

"I haven't seen you for a while, how is everything?" he asks me.

"Oh pretty good. Been rather quiet. How about you?"

"Yeah same, I actually kind of moved in with Scott" He announces.

"Wait what?" I raise an eyebrow.

"I got kicked out of the place I was staying and so Scott and Melissa said I could stay with them as they now have an empty room."

"You're in my.... You haven't gone through anything have you!?" I almost shout anxiously.

"No of course not. I just like the fact that you've had your body on that bed..." He begins to whisper feeling my heart increase.

"So you think of me like that?" I bite my lip.

"Always" His voice low and husky as he stares down at me. I suddenly feel arms wrap around me as Derek's chest presses against my back. I sigh at the fact that he was doing this here and now. He doesn't own me nor are we anything more than friends. I don't care if he's the jealous type. I'm allowed to talk to other men other than him. Isaac looks up at him before looking back down to me, getting the vibe that we were a thing. His head turns as he starts a conversation with someone within the group.

"Gee thanks" I mutter causing him to squeeze me. He lets go leaving an arm around me. He goes back to talking to another bloke as I'm left there standing with no one to talk to. After a good twenty minutes, I notice Derek looking around, concentrating on something that I was unsure about.

"Aiden, Ethan" He says looking at the two of them. He nods his head causing the twins to walk off. What the heck was that about?

"Darcy" He looks over to her before doing the same thing to her.

"Isaac" Derek calls Isaac's before he too leaves. I watch as Allison walks off and Lydia comes up to me. Derek lets go before starting to walk off.

"Marzia!" Lydia shouts my name as I walk after Derek. I grab his wrist, pulling him back to look at me.

"What the hell just happened? Are you just going to leave me now?" I question.

"Stay with Lydia, I'll be back." He bluntly replies getting out of grip and continuing into the darkness.

"Let's go sit and talk" Lydia smiles pulling me back. I take a seat opposite her, playing with my phone.

"What's wrong?" She asks me pouting.

"Nothing" I mutter.

"I know we've only known each other for a short amount of time but I know when someone is upset. Tell me" She says.

"It's only to do with Derek" I inform her.

"I noticed he was really clingy to you tonight. Are you guys a thing or something?" She questions.

"I honestly don't know. Like we've hooked up but we aren't interesting in one another like that. You know?" I try to explain leaving out the part of us having sex the other night.

"Yeah, he's a hard person to try to understand. I've known him for almost a year now and he still confuses me. One minute he seems like he really wants to help, then the next he seems like he doesn't even care." She comments as I nod knowing what she meant.

"He seems like a really jealous person" I snort.

"Yeah, I could tell when you and Isaac were talking before, he didn't look overly happy" She gives me a funny look.

"But I guess it's good if he was jealous of other guys getting close to you. At least then you know he cares" She shrugs looking down at her nails.

"I just wish I knew more about him" I admit.

"There's not really much to know"

"I just feel like he's hiding something from me. Like everyone is... Darcy, Isaac, my brother.... But I seem to be the one no one talks to..." I mumble. Lydia looks up at me, feeling somewhat sorry for me.

"Could you do me a favour?" I ask her.

"Sure"

"Could you give me a lift home? I don't really want to wait around for Derek to get back"

"Yeah, I can do that" She smiles softly getting her keys out of her back pocket.
