Kovu

Later on that day, the sky has now shift from day to night. I just made it back home to Pride Rock after taking more King lessons with Simba. Kiara steps out of the cave waiting on my return.

"Hello you two!" She greets.

I gave her a short nuzzle. Simba head buds her and smile.

"It's getting cold out, let's go in shall we?" He said.

We walk in the cave one by one.

"Now we can tell them." Kiara whispers in my ear.

"Now?" I ask nervously.

"Yeah. Are you scared? I guess we can wait till the morning."

"No, no! Now is better just to get it over with."

Kiara giggles and lick my cheek. "Go ahead."

I clear my throat and loudly said, "Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention?"

Everyone turn their sleepy heads to my direction.

Simba looks utterly confused. "Is there something wrong, Kovu?"

I shake my head smiling. "No your majesty. I have a beautiful anoint mention to share with you all."

Simba and Nala both nod. I turn and face Kiara kneeling down.

"Just like you did earlier." Kiara noted. "It's going to be fine, love!"

I nod and begin saying, "Kiara our love has come a long way. It has grown stronger over these last couple of months. Nothing had came across our way. Not even our parents! Our love brought our prides close together as one. Bringing in joy and peace. I'd never thought that I could change. Change from a killer to lover. You've brought me to freedom. Freedom away from hell my mother. I now want to spend the rest of my whole life with you until death due us apart. Kiara in my eyes I see nothing but gorgeous. When you laugh it's like music in my ears and those eyes, man! Now your carrying our first cub. Being a parent is the most best gift ever to have. Once this cub is born, I'm going to make sure I'm always there in his/her life. I want them to have a father, something I never had experienced. But to sum this all up, all I'm trying to say is will you marry me?"

"Yes, yes!"

The pride roar with acceptance. Simba and Nala are both truly stunned right now. Neither one of them had said anything.

Uh oh...

Here it's comes!

Vitani rush forward and hug me tight. "D'awww congrats little brother!"

"Thanks sis!" I smile.

Then Kion walks up. He looks sad for a moment. "My big sis is growing up so fast! First future Queen now marriage?! Congrats to both of you. You guys are perfect for one another!"

Kiara head bud her brother affectionately. Other pride members joined the wide circle commenting. Some had said "Beautiful couple!" Or the words "Finally!"

"Mother, father?" Kiara calls.

Simba and Nala were able to push through the large crowd.

"I can't believe it. My baby is all grown up now!" Nala cried.

"Oh mom..." Kiara said hugging her, who's also crying with tears of joy.

Simba looks at me. His face is very determined. I gulp small fright.

"We'll celebrate tomorrow. Let's all get some rest first!" He said.

I watch Simba turn and walk away going to his favorite sleeping spot in the far back of the cave. Nala joins beside him. My ears fall flat. I follow Kiara to our sleeping spot which is in the middle section between the pride

She noticed my sad expression. "Kovu, what's wrong?"

I lay my head over my front paws. "I don't think your father approves. Don't you think we're kinda rushing into this a bit?"

"No. We're doing the right thing, Kovu. My dad is just being dad right now. He'll get over it in the morning. I promise okay?"

"Okay."

Kiara kiss my nose. I watch her turn over on her left side going to bed. "Good night, fiancé!"

I smile at the word "fiancé" and close my eyes. "Good night!"

Kiara is right. There's nothing to worry about. Maybe Simba wasn't expecting this to happen so sudden I guess. I just hope he doesn't rip me into bits in the morning. You'd think he would be happy and excited for us like Queen Nala.

Oh well...

The cave is now filled with loud individual snores.
