Simba
"Simba!"
"Yes, Timon?"
Timon and Pumbaa came back inside the cave.
"Kiara and Kovu both said yes. They're ready to do some planning today!"
"Great! Does Kiara have an idea of who's going to help her along the way?"
Pumbaa nods. "Yes! She said Tiifu, Zuri, and uh..."
"Vitani." Timon helped finish.
I nod. "I figure those three would be the ones. Sounds good! I just hope they do the job seriously and not play around. This is a very special occasion."
"Indeed." Timon agrees.
Nala rolls over onto her side close next to me. She rests her head over my front paws. "Oh Simba, remember our wedding day?"
I smile down at her. "Yeah."
"It was absolutely beautiful!"
"I cried so hard that day." Said Pumbaa, sniffing.
Nala laughs. Timon and I both shake our heads.
"After breakfast I will be with Kovu rehearsing wedding vows and all that other stuff like how Rafiki had done with me." I said.
"Cool." Said Timon, hoping back on Pumbaa's back. "If you need us you know where to find us. We'll be in our same bug area!"
I nod watching them exit the cave.
"Good morning your majesty and highness!" A deep voice greets.
I look on my right seeing walk pass is that Kopa lion. The one I let stay based on judgement.
"Good morning." I greet back.
He hasn't given me any problems yet. Kopa has been pretty much out of the way. Sometimes I don't even know he's there. He's more quiet. Too quiet and often is gone during the day. He doesn't return until late midnight.
I wonder why...
"Simba!"
"Huh? What??"
Nala chuckles. "I've been calling you five times. Are you okay?"
I shake out my mane. "Yeah I'm good. Just having some thoughts. Nothing major!"
"Oh. Well, I was calling you because I think it's time for us to start coming up with names for our new cub."
"Now? But you still have more months to go Nala."
"I know but it's best to know the name now so when the cub is born we'll already know what to call it. You don't want to go through what we did with Kiara and Kion. My mother and Rafiki had to help us!"
"Mmmh...I guess."
She smiles. "Yay!"
I roll my eyes and laugh.
"Okay, if it's a girl we'll name her....."
I begin to think. I open my mouth to say something but Nala had already beat me to it.
"Nkiru!"
"Nkiru? Hmmm."
"I thought of that name for a good while. You don't like it?"
I nod. "It do, it sounds good."
"What name were about to say?" She asks.
"Maha."
"Maha? Oh Simba, that's beautiful. I love it! We'll keep that one."
I look at her surprised. "You sure? We still have-"
"I'm sure." She smiles.
"Okay, Maha it is if it's a girl. Now for a boy....."
We both think.
"What about Tumaini?" I ask.
Nala shook her head. "Nah."
We think again.
"Umi?" I ask again.
"Umi? Hmm, maybe. I'll keep that on hold. Let's keep thinking though!" She said.
Man this is hard! We both think again.
"I got! What about Ajani?" Nala asks.
"Ajani? I like it!" I smile.
"Yay! Maha and Ajani..."
I lick the top of her head. "They both sound so great, honey!"
She purrs. Now I can feel the excitement. Can't wait for my new son or daughter to arrive!
