Mheetu

Evening...

"Haiba, I'm going to go get a drink of water. I'll be back!"

"Okay Mheetu, be careful out there!"

"Will do." I say, while walking down Pride Rock.

I was on my way to the waterhole. The sun is setting. I want to make it back home quick before its dark. Danger could be lurking anywhere. The hyenas do seem to have calm down lately. But you should still watch your back no matter what!

When I arrive at the waterhole no was here. I lap up the cool water with my rough pink tongue. So refreshing! After that, I turn around and was about to head back to Pride Rock. I then hear a rustling noise near by.

My ears twitch. "Who's there?"

It was quiet.

Hmm, maybe I'm just hearing things...

I start walking again heading home.

*RUSTLE, RUSTLE*

I stop walking. "Alright, enough with the games. You either come out or I find you myself." I said, annoyed.

A lioness step out from the bushes.

ROUGE!

I crouch down growling showing teeth and claws. "Who are you trespasser?"

"Trespasser? Pfft, please." She said, rolling her eyes.

"I'm not going to ask you again. Who are you and where did you come from? If you don't tell me I'll go get the King."

"Calm down! I'd already met with the King earlier. I was just leaving now..."

I frown. "Good."

The lioness frowns back at me. She walk pass heading for the Pride Lands exit. I watch her until she was full out of sight.

Strange...

I shake my head continuing my walk back to Pride Rock.

~~~~~
"There you are. I was beginning to worry!" Said Haiba.
I walk inside the pride's cave and lay down close next to her. She nuzzles me as I smile.
"I told you I'll be right back."
"I see."
I roll my eyes. "You won't believe what I had ran into at the waterhole."
"What?" She asks.
"A lioness. She wasn't from here at all."
"Shouldn't we tell Simba?"
I shook my head. "Nah. She claim she had already met with him. She was on her way out. I made sure she actually left."
Haiba rests her head on my two front paws. "Good. We don't need anymore problems. We already have hyenas to deal with."
"Yeah."
I rest my chin on top of her head. We both close our eyes falling into a peaceful quiet sleep.
Morning...
Today Haiba and I decided to announce the pride that we're going to get married soon. Nala my sister of course was the first to hug me and shed tears.
"Oh my gosh my baby brother isn't a baby anymore!" She said.
I hug her back with a chuckle. "I know."
Simba smiles wide. "This is great you two, congrats! What a beautiful couple."
Haiba hugs Simba. "Thank you, your majesty!"
"So how soon is the wedding?" Kiara my niece asks us.
Haiba looks at me. Obviously she wants me to answer the question. We have already discussed on what we wanted to do and how to plan it.
"Very soon." I replied.
Nala lift a brow. "Why so?"
"Haiba and I want to spend more time getting use to and being around with each other. It's been years! We don't want to technically rush. You get what I mean?"
"I suppose that makes sense..."
Simba nodded. "I agree with Mheetu. Nala and I didn't get married right away. We took our time too!"
I smile.
"Well just let us know. I can help prepare it for you guys and everything." Said Nala.
Haiba smiled. "We will."
"Well, off to my King duties." Said Simba walking off.
"Let me go check up on my husband." Said Kiara, going back inside the cave.
So now it only left me, Haiba, and Nala.
"Mother would be so proud if she was here..." Said Nala looking up at the morning sky.
I put my paw on top of her own. I nod, "I know and she still is here. She's right in our-"
"Hearts."
"Exactly."
Nala smiled at me.
"Mommy, mommy!" Yelled a voice.
A dark tan pelt with soft cream colored muzzle, colorless paws, and bluish green eyes cub ran up to Nala. It's her youngest daughter, my second niece Maha.
"Yes Maha?"
"Can I go meet up with Heri and Makosa at the waterhole?"
Nala nodded. "Yess, as long as Timon and Pumbaa walk you there."
"Okay!"
Maha race down Pride Rock.
Haiba laughed. "Cute kid. I remember that use to be us."
I laughed. "Yess. Especially Nala and Simba!"
"Except we use to hate when Zazu would come with us." Nala said, chuckling.
Zazu flies in joining the scene. He sat on Nala's left shoulder. "Indeed. You four use to give me a hard time back then."
"Simba was usually the trouble maker!" Haiba pointed out.
"And Nala would copy everything he does." I added.
Nala rolled her eyes. We all laughed.
Good times...
