"Oh my gosh Kiara, so like when is your big wedding?" My best friend Zuri asks.

"Yeah cause I am ready to become a bridesmaid!" Said my other best friend Tiifu.

I chuckle. "Soon girls."

The three of us are laying on the flat rocks behind Pride Rock.

Zuri hugs me. "I'm just so proud of you. First future Queen, your pregnant, now engaged!"

"Not to mention your mother is pregnant too." Said Tiifu. "How does that feel? You know, you and your mother planning to give birth at the same time."

I look down." Well, it was truly unexpected. Like I never thought I would be expecting a cub at this time without being married first." I look up and smile. "But at the same time, I'm excited to become a mother. Now my mother being pregnant? All I can say is that she is very blessed. My mother had always bug my father about having another cub. Being a big sister sounds fun!"

"Tell me about your fiancé Kovu. How does he feel about the pregnancy?" Zuri asks.

"At first, Kovu was very shocked by the news. Like it had him to the point where he fainted."

"Oh my!"

"But after the proposal, us telling my parents and having their acceptance, he felt extremely better and less worried. Now we're just waiting on our furry bundle of joy to enter the world."

I put a paw over my belly which isn't big yet. Soon it will be.

"That's so beautiful!" Tiifu cried, with joy.

I giggle.

"Speaking of Kovu, here he comes now!" Zuri points.

I follow her point. Kovu comes forward welcoming me with a lick on the cheek.

"Hello, Princess!" He greets.

I purr nuzzling my face in his warm dark mane. "Hello, Fiancé!"

Fiancé. I love calling him that!

"How's the baby?"

"The baby is fine. We're just chill'n here talking to Aunt Zuri and Aunt Tiifu."

Kovu sat down joining us. "Aunts?"

"Yes, aunts!" Zuri replied, grinning.

"We're Kiara's closest friends so of course we get the family title." Said Tiifu, tilting her head up proudly.

"That's cool with me. I don't mind!"

"It better be."

Kovu laughs talking Tiifu as a joke not knowing she is very serious.

"How did the hyena search go today?" I ask.

Kovu nodded. "It was good! We found them."

"What happened?"

"Your father kicked them out with a warning to never return here again."

I raise a brow. "That's it?"

"Yeah."

"Mmm..."

Kovu met his green eyes with my reddish brown ones. "What?"

I look up at the sky which is now shifting to evening time. "I don't know Kovu. You think our family and pride will be safe? Something about those hyenas I don't trust. I know they'll be back."

"They won't trust me. Like Simba had said earlier, there's more of us and less of them. Those hyenas would not stand a chance!"

"I guess."

Kovu nuzzles me. "Stop worrying. We'll be fine! I told you before, I won't let anything hurt you or our cub."

I smile with a nod purring.

"D'aaaaaw!!" Zuri and Tiifu both yell in unison.

I roll my eyes at them laughing.

I trust Kovu. Maybe the hyenas will give up for real this time and just leave us lions alone.
