The Next Day...

"That's it Nala, just lay down and rest. Is there anything else you want me to do?" I ask.

Nala shook her head. "Nope! That was all. Thank you Neera, you have truly been helpful."

"Your my big sister, no need for thanks!"

We nuzzle.

"Neera?" A voice calls.

It's my husband Jacob entering inside the cave.

"Yes, honey?"

"Simba needs us now about the hyenas."

I nod. "Okay."

I really didn't want to leave Nala alone since she's pregnant and all. But I guess the lionesses can help her while I'm away.

"I'll be back later Nala!" I said.

She nods. "Alright."

With that, I left out the cave side by side with Jacob. We met Simba at the bottom of Pride Rock. Kovu, Kion, the Lion Guard Team, Mheetu, and Haiba are all there too.

"Greetings everyone!" Simba welcomes. "We all know why we're here today?"

"To find the hyenas and stop them right?" Mheetu questioned.

"Correct. Kovu picked up a scent earlier and just might know where they may be. He's going to show us!"

"Well, lead the way!" Said Haiba.

Kovu starts walking. We all follow behind him going to the direction of the waterhole.

"They're at the waterhole?" Kion asked.

"Were." Kovu replied. "They're not that stupid to be that close to us."

"The hyenas are just doing it to catch our attention making it known that they're here." Said Jacob.

"Basically." Simba agrees.

We walk pass the waterhole going further through the tall grassy plains. Kovu suddenly stops. His ears twitches.

"You guys hear that?"

We all look around.

"Hear what?" Mheetu asks.

Hehehehe...

"Laughter." Said Haiba. "It's them!"

Simba stands beside Kovu in a ready position to attack if he needs to. "Everyone stay close by."

Three hyenas step out of the tall grass. Two males, one female. Simba growls at them extending out his claws.

"Why, hello King Simba! It's been a long time since we've seen each other." Said the female.

"Marjáni..." I heard Simba say in a quiet tone.

"Hyenas were banned here a long time ago. Why have you returned?" He asked.

"Isn't it obvious Simba? I came back to take what's mines!"

"Mines?" Fuli said, confused.

"These lands use to be my home. I want it back!"

Simba shook his head. "I am sorry Marjáni. But that isn't going to happen. You know the previous law."

Marjáni stomp her paw growling. "That isn't fair! My kind deserves some slack and respect. We have very little food and water from where we stay. What ever happened between you and my mother's clan has nothing to do with me and my clan."

"I understand. But you were one of Scar's helpers at the time were you not?"

"Yeah but-"

"Exactly, my point."

Marjáni rolled her eyes. "That was the past though. Haven't you heard of letting go Simba?"

"Yes." He said, furrowing his brows. "You hyenas have caused so much current trouble. I've spoken to the rhinos earlier. They claim that you guys have been attacking too much prey over these pass three days. Its unbalancing the circle of life! I cannot allow your clan to continue to do so. It's danger to the animals here and also my pride."

The male hyena on Marjani's right side frowned. "Those rhinos are snitches!"

"I am going to ask politely Marjáni for you and your clan to leave the Pride Lands."

Marjáni turned around walking away to the path that exits out of the Pride Lands territory. "This won't be the last time we meet up again Simba."

We watch them run off disappearing into the tall grass.

"What does she mean?" Jacob ask.

Simba shrugs. "I don't know. But don't worry. She's not going to take me down. Our pride is more bigger and stronger now. They wouldn't stand a chance!"

Kovu nods. "He's right!"

Kion looks over the tall grass making sure the hyenas are actually gone. "I hope so."

"And if she does call for war we'll be ready." Said Mheetu.

We all nod.

"Let's go back to Pride Rock." I smile.

Sorry for the lame short chapter guys and sorry for the very late update. I've been so busy school and family issues! But I'm very glad that school is over with for me. Guess who graduated senior year of high school yesterday? .....ME! 😁 lol. Since school is finally over with for good I will be updating twice as much hooray!!
