chapter seven
"(Yah, michyeoss-eoyo) hey, are you CRAZY?"
Slightly taken aback by the strong tone of accusation dripping from her voice, Min woo flinched slightly before immediately regaining his composure. However, with composure also came his earlier anger. She was the one who had packed in his spot when everyone knew NO-ONE packed in his spot. Of course it did cross his mind that she was new to the place and therefore most likely didn't know the rules that all his staff and people around him lived by but he ignored the thought. Yes, Min woo was a very strict boss and he knew that a lot of people were scared of him... But he couldn't care less. If anything that's exactly how he like it. The last thing he needed is people taking advantage of him because of his age and in this business any sign of weakness could mean the beginning of the end of your company. He didn't even want to think about what his granddad would do to him if he caused the collapse of the company. So shaking his head he returned his attention back to a rather irritated girl. She now had her hands poised on her hips in a stance that would've scared anyone. But not him, it took a lot to intimidate him and she definitely didn't have what it took.
"I should be asking you that question." He replied in English and calmly in contrast to her loud accusation. This seemed to shock her a bit, if the little step she took backwards was anything to go by. So reverting to English she retorted back in a slightly lower voice.
"What? I am not the one who goes around damaging strangers' car windows. Do you know I could have you for assault?" now that made Min woo laugh. He hadn't even realized why she was angry in the first place. But now that she mentioned it, he looked at her car and to be honest, he didn't get the biggie, it wasn't like it was a Lamborghini or anything. His car could probably buy 5 of hers. And he was also sure that no police station would waste their precious time on such a small matter. A fact that he knew she also knew, but was trying so hard to hide it.
"First of all, I didn't damage your car, secondly, you and I both know that no one's going to arrest me, so what about we just cut the crap and you vacate my space. And besides, it's not like you car's that special." He added the last bit under his breath as if saying it to himself. But she must've heard him because her earlier anger resurfaced, Only this time when she spoke, her voice was far from loud, if anything it was so low and eerily tranquil that he wished she would go back to screaming.
"What was that? "She asked with eyebrows raised.
"Nothing, look lets-"Min woo was already regretting his comment and tried to defuse the situation before she exploded like he knew she was going to. But she cut him off.
"Listen, if you want to insult me, then go ahead, knock yourself out. But you don't minimize my car because although it might not cost as much as your limo, but it is worth more than 12 of yours put together." And with that she turned and was reaching for her door handle when-
"Oh my god, Bekka, I am so sorry darling I didn't know that you were waiting." Min woo saw a woman running from the entrance of the company and hugging the girl whose name he now knew was Bekka. He knew it was a short form of something, but right now that was beside the point as he had just found out that the woman hugging "Bekka" was MS. Daniels. His: new CEO and also the one person beside Mun hee who understood him more than anything in this world. That's why he wasn't surprised when she turned round and enveloped him in a massive motherly hug when she realized who he was.
"Min woo! Hey, I haven't seen you in ages..." then drawing back she continued on to inspect her like her daughter had. He hadn't been told they were mother and daughter but there was a striking resemblance and familiarity that couldn't be denied. "What happened to you, you look a lot thinner than the last time I saw you. That evil grandfather of yours hasn't been working you so hard has he?" she asked, with a frown and her voice taking a deep tone at the last statement.
