Chapter Ten
After assembly, the rest of the morning went by pretty fast. In between listening to boring lectures and thinking about the morning events, Bekka, didn't notice that she only had 10 minutes until break. And that was only because she had been tapped by the girl sitting next to her, alerting her that the teacher was speaking to her. Her mind had been preoccupied with so many questions, and all of them being about no one else but Mr, arrogant himself.
"Care to join us Miss Daniels or is whatever you are watching outside the window more interesting." The old man who came in form of their maths teacher bellowed in Korean. Out of respect for him and feeling slightly guilty, Bekka turned her head to face the front of the class room and muttered a humble "joesong-haeyo seonsaengnim [sorry teacher]". For the remaining 8 minutes she had left of class Bekka made sure she looked interested in whatever he was going on about and thankfully for her, he didn't pick on her again. When the bell rung, she quickly pushed her chair backwards, packed up her books and pencil case in record time before flying out of the door. People gave her odd looks but she didn't care. She just wanted to find Mi-hi and ask her about what happened earlier with min woo. Mi-hi had said she would tell her later and now was that time. As she came out of her class to head to the canteen where they usually met, she felt a poke in her side causing her to swiftly face the direction of the poke. She was ready to let whoever had poked her have it, but thankfully, it was only Mi-hi.
"What was that for?" she shot at the tall girl whose long straight hair was curled for the first time since they had become friends. Just like Rebekka had imagined, the girl did look rather cute and gave her face a softer edge to it. Don't me wrong, her face was always smooth and amazing but curly hair kind of brought out a more childish and chilled out aspect to her.
"You seemed like you were ready to fly out of the building and I was tired of trying to catch up with you, AND you also know how much I hate screaming." She rushed into her explanation before sighing. "So as you see, poking you was my only weapon." She finished, adding a sweat, innocent smile.
"There's no winning against you, is there?" Bekka sighed as she felt a smile stretching across her mouth as well.
"Nope, there isn't." MI-hi confirmed as she linked her arm through Bekka's.
They were still talking about Bekka's escapade in class when they went through the entrance of the canteen, and that's when Bekka was reminded WHY she had had a bad morning in the first place. Losing her smile again she stopped and sighed.
"What's up?" Mi-hi asked looking around as if trying to find the cause of Bekka change in mood. And that's when she saw someone waving at her. It was Park Mun-hee.
"Ahh, look who decided to grace us with his presence!" Mi-hi spat out as she dragged Bekka towards to the group of boys standing to the far right of the canteen.
"umm, where do you think you are taking me?" Bekka protested as she tried to untangle her arm from Mi-hi's strong grip.
"Aish, won't you stop complaining and just come with me for once?" Mi-hi didn't even bother to look back at her friend and just continued dragging Bekka.
"Hey, I don't complain." Bekka whined pretending to be hurt by the accusation. Now, that got Mi-hi to stop for a second. But it was only to give Bekka a look that could only be translated to mean 'honestly dude?'
"Okaaay...Maybe sometimes." Bekka said after some thought.
"Please, you're so bad that you can complain until the goats come home." the tall petite girl rolled her eyes.
