'DO YOU STILL LOVE ME?' (36)

She closed her eyes and opened them again but still nothing changed. Min woo was still standing there in front of his car looking at her. This gave her a feeling of déjà vu and without her permission, her heart started racing again just like that time he had suddenly turned up at the funeral. He may have been in shorts and a shirt instead of a suit, but he still took her breath away. His eyes were fixed on her and hers on him. For that moment in time, as rest of the world seemed disappeared. Slowly, Min Woo's lips lifted up into a smile.

"Hey." He waved at her.

"Hey." She answered as she walked down the steps towards him. "What are you doing here."

"I came to see you."

"Why, I thought we said everything we wanted to say to each other yesterday."

"YOU did. I actually still have quite a lot left to say." He said casually.

"Well, I am quite busy. As you can see I was heading out." She crossed her arms defiantly.

"Even better. I actually need a tour guide. I haven't had the chance to see Hawaii properly yet."

"And what makes you think I will agree to be your tour guide?" she raised an eyebrow while still crossing her arms.

"Because you have missed me too." Min woo said softly, all signs of joking disappearing. "And you also want to spend time with me. You might refuse to admit it but I can see it in your eyes. You've never been a good liar."

"Well, you are wrong. And I really don't have time today. Sorry you came all the way here for nothing." Rebekka brushed past Min woo.

"Am leaving tomorrow." That made her stop but she didn't turn around. "I go back to Korea tomorrow. Can't you give me just 2 hours of your time. Hmm?"

Rebekka contemplated on that for a long time before turning around. "One hour." she

"One and a half."

"Fine." She agreed and went to the passenger side of the car to get in.

Once they were both had their seat belts on, Min woo set off.

"So where do you want me to take you?" Rebekka asked once they were on the road.

"Anywhere. Your favourite places." Min woo said simply. 'as long as am with you it doesn't matter' he added to himself.

"Right..." Rebekka sighed. "I haven't had a lot of time to tour many places myself, but I will try my best." She smiled at him determined. If she was going to be stuck with him for 90 minutes, she might as well have fun. For those 90 minutes, she would forget everything that has happened between them and enjoy his company. She would take her mind back to the good times before the news of their relationship got out.

And for the next 3 hours, Rebekka did just that. She let her walls down and enjoyed just being with Min woo. She took him to all the tourists places first. They went shopping in the quirky markets where Min woo bought her sunglasses because she had forgotten to bring hers. She tried to stop him but the she remembered how stubborn he was and just gave in. She then took to him watch some performances at one of the cultural festivals that was being held that day. All the way, he teased her just like he used too, they laughed at the stupid things they did, tried on stupid outfits and ate lots and lots of street food. Rebekka had not had this much fun in as long as she could remember.

Throughout the day Min woo did sweet things like, carrying all her heavy bags, protecting her from people and motorbikes that came too close to her as they were walking, opening bottles for her etc. He had always known how to make her feel like the most treasure girl in the world. It felt like she had gotten her best friend back. And for just a moment, she wished things could just go back to what they used to be. But she knew that was just wistful thinking. After walking around for over 3 hours, they stopped for food at a small restaurant Rebekka had recommended. It was a small place but because of it's delicious traditional Hawaii food they served, it was always busy. It was a surprise they had even got a table that quickly.
