A/N: 1st of all welcome to all my new fans/readers and "well-hello again.*;)*to my old fans/readers. thanks for being patient with me. Anyway here it is.finally.i wanted to write more for this chapter but was forced to send it here coz i have not uploaded in ages and its 4:30 am..n my bed is calling me as i had my summer ball last night so am still tired from that..^_^ (*excuse grammar errors and typos- no chance to edit..:D)

Chapter twenty one

"Because I like you."

Immediately the words left Min woo's mouth her face paled. Her face transformed from one of confusion to a blank converse that Min woo couldn't read. He knew this was not the right time or place to say it but the urge to make her see how much he cared for her was too overwhelming that he couldn't stop the words coming out any more than he could stop his next breath. And besides, being able to finally tell her how he felt was like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He still remembered how frightened he had been when he had first realised he liked her.

It was the time when she had fallen asleep on his lap in his house. Just watching her go through so much pain and grief, yet trying so hard to be strong and independent had increased his respect for her by ten fold. And as he watched her sleep on his lap, he had observed how fragile she was. She always tried to put on a strong and confident persona but when she was asleep and all her defences were down, he saw all the sadness, loneliness, and heart break that her short life had dealt her. As he had continued to study her face, his hand had involuntarily reached down to trace the lines of her cheek bones, moving up to her forehead to brush away some strands of hair that had come loose. Slowly he bent forward and placed a small kiss on her forehead, then one on each closed eye-lib before placing another quick peck on the tip of her nose. He then pulled back and before he knew it, he felt himself inching closer to her face again, his eyes on her lips, and that is when he froze. What the heck was he doing, he chided himself. Since when had he become a pervert who kissed vulnerable girls in their sleep? And why Rebekka Daniels of all people? They could hardly stand each other most of the time. Is it because he felt sorry for her after seeing how much pain she was going through? Yeah that was it. That was definitely it. Because how else could he explain the sudden racing of his heart whenever he laid eyes on her, the way he couldn't control his emotions whenever she was close or even the way the whole world seemed to stand still when their eyes collided.

' Because you like her. ' A small voice in the back of his mind told him simply but confidently.

'No, I don't! ' He mentally told the voice in his head.

'Yes you do. ' The annoying voice persisted.

"NO I DON'T!" he said, out loud this time. Then realising that he was speaking to himself, he decided that it was time to go out and get some fresh air before he completely lost it. Besides, with this new revelation, he didn't know how to act around Rebekka if she were to wake up. So picking up the phone that she had used not so long ago, he dialled her house number knowing that Ms Daniels would be home. The phone only rung for two seconds before it was picked up on the other end. After he quickly explained how Rebekka ended up in his house, Ms Daniels promised that she would be at his house as soon as possible. When she got there Min woo carried Rebekka bridle style doing his best not to wake her. He put her in the back of his car resting her head on Ms Daniels lap. The poor woman looked so tired and sick with worry that Min woo kind of felt bad for not taking Rebekka home earlier or even calling her himself to assure her that Rebekka was in safe hands. When he was sure they were both comfortable he closed the door and got into the front and headed for the Daniels residence in Cheongdam.
