Chapter twenty two
Even just remembering that day brought a smile to his face as he now looked up to her awaiting her answer. A mixture of emotions were now running across her face all too fast and for a second he thought she was going to pass out. But before he could react, her face suddenly transformed into a huge smile making Min woo do somersaults of joy in his head. She had accepted his feelings. She was not running away screaming, she was not shouting at him either. Looking back now he didn't know why he had been so worried, of course she felt the same way but like Mun hee had pointed out only HE hadn't noticed. Min woo was still going off in a happy rant in his head when Rebekka surprised him by saying,
"Are you hungry?" she breathed. Being caught off guard by the sudden change of direction, Min woo was speechless for a second or two but before he could even utter a word, Bekka spoke again,
"Because we if we are to have any chance of eating at the Italian restaurant I talked about earlier then we better leave now." She continued rapidly while standing up from the swing, already heading towards the wooden fence that led out of the play area. Min woo was left still squatting in front of the vacant swing Rebekka had only just vacated a second ago. His confusion was now being replaced by the realisation of what Rebekka was doing. She was avoiding the subject by acting like she had not heard what he had said. And he didn't know what to make of it.
"C'mon, lunch hour is almost done." Bekka called out to him as she continued walking out of the play area. After a few more seconds of major indecision Min woo decided not to press the issue, understanding that she needed time to wrap her mind around the idea. After all it would've been such a big announcement for anyone who had just gone through what she had.
"Hey, you coming or what?" her cheerful receding voice penetrated through his thoughts reminding him that he still hadn't moved an inch yet. so on uncertain feet, he got up and made his way after her.

"Is there packing in town?" Min woo asked Rebekka once they hit the road.
"Yeah there is a pay and display in Westgate shopping centre." Rebekka was looking more and more relaxed as the ride went on. And because he loved seeing her with her guard down, Min woo also decided to forget about what had just happened in the park. Intending to ask her about it when they got to the restaurant. But for now, he was going to enjoy her relaxed mood.
"How far is it from the car park?" He didn't want it being too far because he had glanced at her shoes when she got into the car and the heels were a bit too high for his comfort. He still didn't understand how woman walked in those things without getting crippled.
"Oh, it's not that far. If we walk through Westgate shopping centre and then cut through Queens Street we can get to George Street in 5 minutes which is where the restaurant is." Min woo could hear the contentment and confidence in Rebekka's voice as she talked about all these places that were once her home. Never mind the fact that he had no idea what she was talking about. He didn't want to stop her, instead he made another mental note to do something about it later. Right now though- thanks to lack of traffic- his GPS said they were approaching 'The plain', a roundabout that led to town.
"5 minutes? Are you sure?" he said more to pull her leg than because he actually wanted to make sure.
His question earned him an eye roll, "Min woo, I know this town like the back of my hand. So yes, of course am sure." She told him, her voice filled with so much conviction which made him smile because he had gotten the exact reaction he had hoped for.
