Epilogue

"Paul, may binili akong pagkain. Kumain ka na" Si Ahya Gab. Pinatong sa table ang dalang pag kain.

"Thank you." Matipid na sagot ni Paul.

4 days nang hindi pa nagigising si Jade. 4 na araw ding hindi umaalis si Paul sa loob ng ospital na yon. Doon na sya naliligo at nag bibihis. Ayaw nyang iwanan ang kanyang kapatid na hanggang ngayon hindi pa din nagigising.

Tumayo si Paul at nag punta sa table, sa paanan ng kama ni Jade. Si Gabriel naman ang umupo sa monoblock.

"Uh, Paul?" Gabriel interrupted.

"Hmm?" tugon ng kapatid nya. "Kanino tong kwintas na hawak ni Jade?" nag tatakang tanong ni Gabriel.

"Althea's" tipid na sagot ni Paul.

"Kay Althea?" takang ulit ni Gabriel.

"Yes. Hawak hawak nya yan ng makita ko sya sa labas ng kotse nya noong aksidente nya" sagot ni Paul.

"Paano mong nalaman kay Althea to?" Gabriel asked. "Althea used to wear that. Yan na lang ang natirang alaala ni Althea kay Jade after that tragic incident " sagot ni Paul. Ngumiti si Paul remembering the happy moments of her sister and Althea. His smile faded away when he remembers how he rushed Jade to the hospital.

(Flashback)

After Jade gets into the hospital, Paul never stopped glancing at her sister laying down inside the her private room, unconscious. He's waiting for his family to come over. Sure enough, they're completed and have worried faces. Amanda immediately hug his son Paul while crying in agony.

"She's gonna be alright, Ma. Don't worry" Paul soothed his mother.

His father Oscar is currently looking at him. He don't have time to argue with his Dad and David for them to regret what they have done. He just faces away and ignore his father's presence.

On othe hand, Oscar went near Paul.

"Anak, anong sabi ng doctor? How's Jade? What happened?" Oscar asks breathlessy.

Paul just shook his head. "Wala pa. As you can see, Jade is not fine. She's unconcious and I don't know if she's gonna be okay, because of you! Kayo ang sumira sa buhay nya. Naturingan kayong pamilya pero hindi nyo sya kayang tanggapin. Sa akin ayos lang kahit itakwil nyo ako, pandirihan nyo. But si Jade? Sana binigyan nyo sya ng chance para maipakita nyang nag papakatotoo lang sya sa sarili nya." Paul said with anger, looking at his father as he glances David with a pang of guilt washing to his face.

Tears started to fall from Oscar's eye because of guilt. Gabriel hold his brother and spoke "Tama na. Hintayin nalang natin makalabas ang doctor. At sana, ayos lang sya."

"She's 50'50, Ahya" Paul informed.

Everyone in that room gave him indisbelief look. Amanda cried out loud. Can't even believe her son's confession about Jade's condition. Oscar sits down and brushing his hair with his own fingers.

Tanchingco's are waiting not so-patiently by the front desk. Paul was facing back and forth. They have broken hearted faces. Beside them, there are many other people hoping for the best for their loved ones too. Hospitals are such a depressing place. They are with heart broken people and people being treated on and in near death situation.

He's hoping for good news, but Paul knew good news for Jade's condition is unhopeful. After he saw everything back there, he become weak like his heart was slowly dying.

He was right there. He followed his sister and saw everything. How Jade purposely bumped her car on the poles. He was about to run near Jade when he heard a loud sound coming from the opposite direction. A huge truck. He coudn't believe what he just witnessed, a loud crashed is heard. His heart is racing. With his own eyes, he saw how the huge truck crashing his sister's car. His tears fall down. How could he be so late to save his own sister.
