Chapter 15

"I still don't understand." I said annoyed for the hundredth time I didn't get what Liam was telling me.

"It's simple Hayden. When we want to shift, we just go, and our wolf just comes out." Liam said really slowly and sighed.

"Right..." I said rubbing my temples.

"I don't know why you need an explanation for everything." Liam complained.

We had been sitting on the couch for almost an hour now. Apparently my new 'guards' Carter had assigned to me consisted of three guys: Liam, who called himself the 'third in command' and was the only one friendly enough to talk to me, Luke, who had not moved from his spot by the door this whole time, and Blake, who had such a serious façade, I didn't think he ever smiled or even flinched for that matter.

Liam had been obviously trying to explain everything to me, but I just couldn't comprehend anything coming out of his mouth.

"Okay so you just magically change into a wolf. Yep, I think I got it." I said sarcastically.

"You know that's not the only thing we can do Hayden." Liam said rolling his bright green eyes.

"Oh yes how could I forget. You also have supernatural senses and good looks." I said sourly. "And now I know why I have been growled at countless times over the past week." I said before he could reply.

Liam just frowned, clearly not amused.

"Okay, okay. But you haven't told me how you become a werewolf yet."

All I got was a strange look from him.

"Do you bite people, that's how you turn into a werewolf?" I asked, hopeful that I could guess something right.

This earned a laugh not only from Liam, but Luke even cracked a smile while Blake gave me a bigger frown.

"You've been watching too many movies." Liam said still chuckling. "We're just born like this. I guess you can say it's hereditary." He shrugged.

"So your more like wolves on 'Twilight' then?" I asked laughing along.

"Sure, just a lot less cuddly-looking and a lot bigger." Liam said going along with me.

"So two people just have a baby and its born a werewolf?" I said shaking my head, remembering what he had told me minutes ago.

"First of all, you first shift when your twelve or thirteen. Second, it's not just two people."

"What do you mean?"

"Listen Hayden, I would love to tell you all about mates and all, but I think that one will have to be Carter's explanation." He said smirking.

"Why can't you just tell me?"

He shook his head.

"Come on, Carter doesn't even listen to anything I say!" I got up frustrated when Liam continued to shake his head at me.

"Come on Hayden, just stick with the only answer you can understand. Its Magic."

I decided to accept that these people loved to ignore all my questions and only make fun of me.

"Where are you going?"

"Anywhere but here, I'm sick of being stuck in this room all day."

"Agreed. Lets go get something to eat." Liam suggested.

We probably already got something to eat at least two other times this morning, but I just followed Liam to the kitchen, glad I could get out.

Apparently, werewolves ate at least eight meals a day.
