Ponggay Gaston and Basti Cuerva
"Wow thank you for cooperating with me, weather." Ate Therese sarcastically said while looking outside the window as the rain started to fall.
"Why? Do you have any lakad ba?" I curiously asked.
"Well I'm supposed to be having a date with Rex but since it's raining, I'll cancel it na lang." She answered.
"Psh tinatamad ka lang because it's raining eh."
"Bakit kasi kailangan pang umulan? Ugh, tinatamad tuloy ako. I'll sleep na nga lang." Ate Therese disappointedly said.
"Hay, don't cancel it na lang. You guys can spend the day here by watching movies naman!"
"What a great idea! Yay, thank you Pongs! Sige, I'll text him na." She said and immediately took her phone out of her pocket.
"Hmm goodmorning girls." Ate Den said while yawning. "Wow, it's raining pala. Hayst, I have lakad pa naman wuth my friends." She then disappointedly said.
"I don't get it guys. Why does the two of you always hate it when it is raining? It is so nice kaya when it rains!" I said.
"Ewan ko sayo, Pongs." Ate Den and Ate Therese said.
"Hay nako, Den and Trey. Tama si Pongs. It is really nice kaya when it always rains. The weather is so relaxing. Alam niyo ba, dati whenever it rains, your Daddy Fritz and I always go to our favorite coffee shop." Mommy Duday happily said while reminiscing those good old days.
"Ohhhhhhhhhh." Ate Den and Ate Therese reacted then they looked at me with a teasing smile.
"What guys? Stop giving me those looks and teasing smiles. It's annoying me."
"Woshoo! Mom, alam mo ba si Pongs---" I didn't let Ate Den finish what she's saying because I immediately covered her mouth.
"Laging lumalabas kapag umuulan!" Ate Therese said.
Oh shoot, I'm dead. For sure Mom and Dad will ask a lot of questions.
"Talaga? Who are you with? And saan kayo nagpupunta?" Mom continously asked.
"Are you with your boyfriend? Nako, Pongs. You should know your priorities ha. Studies first." Dad reminded.
"Uhhh I'm just with my bestfriend, Mom and Dad. Dito lang po sa coffee shop ng subdivision."
"Bestfriend lang ba talaga?" Ate Den teasingly asked.
"Uhhh ewan ko sayo, Ate." I said then I stood up.
"Oh where are you going?" Ate Therese teasingly asked.
"I'm going out okay? I'll go ahead na po, bye bye!" I answered then I took the umbrella and went outside.
Coffee Shop
Sunday morning, rain is falling
"Hi." He said as he sat down at the chair infront of me. Oh damn, I really missed his voice.
Steal some covers, share some skin
"Hello." I greeted him with a smile.
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
"So uhm.. Kamusta ka na?" He asked with his sweet smile.
You twist to fit the mold that I am in
"Okay naman. How about you?"
But things just get so crazy, living life gets hard to do
"Okay lang din. By the way, Pongs." He said and looked at me sincerely.
And I would gladly hit the road, get up and go if I knew
"What?"
That someday it would lead me back to you
"Kami na ni Fel."
That someday it would lead me back to you
"O-oh, that's great! I'm very happy for you guys! Alagaan mo ang bestfriend ko ha?"
That may be all I need
"Thank you, Pongs. Thank you sa pagiging tulay namin. Yes, I will." He said and then he hugged me.
In darkness, she is all I see
Look how ironic it is. Yung dalawang bestfriend ko pa yung nagkatuluyan when it was supposed to be me and him. Ang tanga mo kasi, Ponggay. Nandiyan na, pinakawalan mo pa.
Come and rest your bones with me
"Oh paano, Pongs? Kita na lang tayo next time ha? Aalis na ko, may lakad pa kami ni Fel eh." He said then he kissed my forehead. I nodded and then he started walking away.
Driving slow on Sunday morning
Kung pwede lang sana kitang pigilan, ginawa ko na. Kaso hindi eh. Siguro hindi nga talaga tayo ang para sa isa't isa.
