Chapter 15
Alice tapped on the pencil, waiting impatiently for the freshmen to finish answering their mock quiz. She made it this morning, seeing that seniors had free day. She had it photocopied and then she went to school by the time of their tutorial.
When her alarm blared, the freshmen grinned and passed their papers. She took it all and said her goodbyes.
She stood up when a boy, Wayne, held her wrist, "I just want to say thanks for all the tutoring. I know we're not that easy to teach but you still stuck with us and taught us."
She smiled warmly and ruffled his hair, "You're not that hard to teach, Wayne. Plus, you all are fast learners. Mr. Wickerby was just a bad teacher." she said.
"I heard that, Alice." the devil himself walked in and took the papers in her hand, "I'm gladly announcing that the special exam will not take place."
The freshmen let out cheers, he smirked that made Alice stiffle a laugh.
"But, I will use Alice's mock exam as my referrence in all of your grades." Mr. Wickerby said and heard a few complaints from the freshmen.
When they left, Alice was more than happy to walk out when Mr. Wickerby called her attention. She nearly rolled her eyes.
Was everyone reminding her that Danny and I are only friends and there is no rush to get there?
she thought to herself.
"I'm deeply thankful of your help, Alice." Mr. Wickerby said and smiled at her.
"Well, it's not much of a help if you didn't plan to fail them." Alice said. Mr. Wickerby only grinned at that, Alice was one of his best students. She would always point out his mistakes that makes him feel embarassed.
"Well, I wouldn't fail them if they actually studied." he retorted back.
"I don't remember you being so hard on us when we were freshmen." Alice said, remembering Mr. Wickerby as the sweet English Literature 1 teacher who would sometimes get mistakes.
"That's from your point of view. I don't know about the others." he said and smirked, "Are you heading somewhere?" he asked when he noticed her looking at her watch.
"Oh, nothing important. I was just planning to head to Danny's place." she said.
"Daniel? Thorn? You two are still together?" he was surprised. That love team started during the sophomore year, and he remembered catching them kissing in between the locker and the wall.
"Well, not exactly. We're friends but in a different level." Alice said and sighed, "It's complicated."
"Ah, teenage love. Always a complicated matter." Mr. Wickerby made a shooing motion, "Fine, go to your boy."
Alice grinned and walked out of the room and headed outside. A few students waved at her, a group of sophomores caught up with her and smiled.
"You're Alice Steele, right?" a girl asked. Alice nodded.
"Is it true that you and your boyfriend got together during the sophomore year?" the boy asked, when Alice nodded again, the boy slung an arm around the girl's shoulder, "You see, baby? It's alright."
The girl bit her lip and sighed, "Are you two still together?"
"Well, sort of." she said and saw the girl shrug off the boy's arm, "Are you two together?"
"Well, I was convincing her to be with me, but she just won't budge." he complained, Alice chuckled.
"Well, every relationship is unique. There are couples who meet during high school and get together until the end. There are those who get together, fall apart then find each other again. We wouldn't know unless we take a leap." she said and held on the girl's shoulder.
"Are you saying that I should say yes to him?" she asked.
"What I'm saying is you follow what you think is best for you and follow your heart." she said and got in her car.
When she looked back at the two sophomore, the boy had his arm slung around the girl's shoulder and her head leant against his shoulder.

Danny opened the door and immediately grinned, Alice was smiling at him. All the anger in him subsided, forgetting that she was really late, "Hey." he said and got out.
He was already in his jacket, just waiting for her.
"I'm sorry I was late. Tutorial got a bit longer than I thought." she said and opened her bag, retrieving a bar of Snickers.
She gave it to him, "What's this?" he asked. He got to admit, Snickers was his favorite chocolate.
"Peace offering." she said, she only took it while she pumped gas for her car.
Then she remembered that they were trying to live forward not backward. She was about to say it when he opened it and took a bite.
"Good, because I'm really hungry." he said and grinned at her shocked face,"What?"
She shook her head and smiled, "Nothing."
They headed to her car and he got in the passenger's seat, then he frowned. When she got in she noticed his frowning face, "Is something wrong?"
"I never got the chance to drive you." he said, slightly pouting.
She wanted to laugh at him but seeing that he took the issue seriously, "Well, two things."
He turned to her and saw her trying to stiffle a laugh, "What's so funny?"
"Well, first is you don't have a car." she pointed out as they drive out of the driveway, "Second is you don't know how to get to my house. You'd end up lost."
He grumbled at her. He wasn't that stupid. When she saw that he was still pouting, she took her bag and tossed it to him. He jumped and looked at her.
"I still have three Snickers there, you can have them all." she said and drove to town.
He grinned immediately and fished through her bag, seeing a few papers and some school stuffs. He saw the Snickers and took it, it was hidden in a folder. When he removed his hand from the bag, he saw his name printed on the paper. Along with a 2x2 picture of him.
He took the folder out and read it.
Name: THORN, Daniel Jacob S.
Age:18
Case: Amnesia.
Alice glanced at him and widened her eyes when she saw the folder, he was frowning at it.
"Alice, is this my hospital file?" he asked.
She saw that the stop light turn red and she stopped her car. She took the folder and put it back to her bag, she hadn't realized that she put it on her bag last night.
She was reviewing a few details about his surgery and condition, she even went back to the internet and tried to see if there was a way to get his memory back.
"Alice, tell me, why do you have my medical file? That was supposed to be confidential." Well, he was partly lying. He doesn't give a shit about confidentiality, but he wanted to know why she have it.
"It's nothing important, Danny. Drop it." she said and made a turn to the hair salon.
Danny was about to say something but saw the rigidness in her and sighed, "Fine." he didn't want to spoil their day.
They got off the car and stared at the salon with a sign 'Hair All The Way'

To make it up for being too long gone, I realized that I should upload a lot more chapters. Plus, I have 4 chapters left in my laptop to finish Memorizing You.
So, that's Chapter 15. Danny and I are the same because we both love Snickers. :D But I love Ferrero Rocher more but it's too expensive. :(
Anyway, it's time for them to have their haircut. More Drama on the way. :)
But the question is, what's going to happen after the haircuts?
