Last Update for today. I uploaded a lot so that you won't have to complain on how long I upload. Five more chapters to go and we're coming to an end. :)
Chapter 25
Danny was listening to Nothing by The Script, since it perfectly reflects on what he was feeling now. He wanted so bad to go where Alice is so badly. He even waited for Teddy to arrive but he only got home around lunch and didn't utter a single word on Alice's whereabouts.
I swear if I go there now,
I can change your mind turn it all around
And I know I'm drunk but I'll say the words
And she'll listen this time even though their slurred
I'm still in love but all I heard was nothing.
Danny shut off his music and removed the earphones, he looked up from the ground and saw that he was at the park where he was looking for Alice a month ago.
How long will Alice take to think about all the things that happened to her? Will she really take up three months?
Questions bombarded his mind, he shook his head and sat down on the swing. He looked at his hands that were clenched together. He want to blame himself for not being able to remember Alice, he want to constantly punch himself for being such a jerk.
It's been three weeks since Alice left and there was no contact from her. The first week he kept on bothering Teddy to tell him where she is but he wouldn't budge. So he just gave up from being a pest to him.
His phone pinged, indicating a message, he opened it and saw it was from Teddy.
Call her.
It was a simple sentence with a ten-digit mobile number attached to the message. That's all it took for Danny to shot up from his seat and run back to his house.
All the while his chest rumbled with an unknown feeling, but this feeling was familiar to him. He always felt it whenever he's with Alice. When they kiss, when they hold hands, when they look at each other.
He got home and his mother sent him a worried look, he just brushed it off and went to the phone, dialing the number as fast as he can.
It rang and rang and rang. Now that he can process his mind, he didn't know what to say. On the fourth ring, a guy answered.
"Hello?"
"Uhm..Is there an Alice Steele there?" Danny asked, lump already forming on his throat. He heard the phone being passed, then the next words froze him.
"Hello?" it was Alice, her angelic voice that sent his insides in a mess.
He swallowed the lump and opened his mouth to formulate words and all he could say is, "Come home."
Alice dropped the glass of water she was holding at the sound of Danny's voice. Max frowned and looked at Alice's still form.
She don't know why but she felt really happy to hear Danny's voice, it's been three weeks and her decision are still on square one. But hearing him say those words, she just couldn't distinguish the indescribable feeling in her.
Like everything stopped and all she could do is listen to the passing seconds.
"Please come home, Alice." he whispered again, he wanted to add a lot but he felt like that was enough. He wanted so badly to say that it's been killing him knowing that he's such a failure to their relationship.
Alice wanted to say yes, to just oblige to his pleas. She wanted to just go home and reassure him again. To hold his hand. To hug him. To kiss him.
