Amnesia.

That's what the doctor said. Danny was suffering from a memory loss with no guarantee of his memory will come back. Mr. and Mrs. Thorn was sitting by their son, telling him of his childhood. Some he remembers, others not.

Alice stayed outside the room. She didn't know what to feel. Mad because all of this happened to them? Scared that Danny will push her away because he can't remember her?

She remembered that day, when she got in the room the day he woke up. It was a week ago. The blankness in his eyes made her chest constrict.

Alice kicked the invisible dust with her boots and leaned her head on the wall she's leaning at. How would she handle this?

"If I had amnesia, would I want people telling me everything about me or would I choose to discover it myself?" she asked aloud.

When the door opened, she looked at Mr. Thorn, Richard, who had a few tears on his face, "Do you want to come in, Alice?" he asked.

"Uhmm. No thanks, Mr. Thorn, Danny needs to absorb everything and seeing me might just make him pull his hair." she said, lightening up the mood.

Mr. Thorn chuckled and smiled at Alice, she has always been good to Danny and them, she was the perfect girl everyone could have, "Suit yourself."

Alice watched the man go inside. She took a deep breath and arranged the beanie on her head. It was Danny's gift to her last christmas, Danny also has a beanie like hers. Their initials was embroided, a cursive A&D.

She walked to the corridors and stopped infront of the door. She didn't want to go in here but she needed the answers now.

She knocked on the door, three short raps. "Come in."

She opened the door and her sight landed on the guy with light blonde hair, his forehead had a small plaster, his arm in a sling.

"Alice." Linc exclaimed, "Finally decided to visit me."

Alice smiled a little, she walked forward and sat down infront of him, "How are you?" she asked.

"Fine. A little sore on the arm but fine." he answered. It's been two weeks since the accident and this is the first time Alice visited him. He was glad.

"How's Jane?" she asked. Being polite, Jane was her best friend but Jane has been spending a lot of her time here with Linc and not minding Alice when they were at school.

"Whiny about the scratches but fine. She kept on coming here and disturbing me." he said, he didn't want to fussed over by Jane. He wanted Alice.

Ever since middle school he wanted Alice but she only looked at him like a friend or a brother. Then she started dating Daniel.

"Linc, can I ask you a question?" Alice said, Linc frowned but nodded nonetheless.

"Sure."

Alice took a deep breath, "Did you take drugs before you drove the car?"

Linc stiffened. His shoulder tensed and his upper lips began sweating. Alice noted that his fingers shook.

"Why would you say that, Alice? Do you think I'm crazy to do that? It's the stupid truck's fault." he said.

Alice stood up. She knew he was lying, "It's okay, Linc. It was just a question. A stupid question." she said and smiled, "You take care of yourself okay?"

Linc nodded and grinned at her, "Visit soon."

She nodded then head out. She let out a long breath as did Linc.
