Post workout sore is killing me. I can't move my arms, my thighs and my legs. I can't move period.
"Babe! I'm hungry!" Tyrone whined beside me. We're just home and no plans for today.
"Babe, you just ate an apple," I said. I am just lying here in Kuya's couch, with arms and legs open.
"But babe, I want to eat more," he said with puppy eyes. Naku po, hindi na ako makakahindi.
"You want another apple?" I asked and my son shook his head. "Mommy's aching all over. I can't cook. Is it okay if you for a little while? I'll just call..."
"Jollibee babe! I want chicken!" Tyrone'e eyes brighten up.
Fine, hand me the phone," I said and my son followed. After I ordered, Tyrone stopped whining and went in our room to look for some of his toys.
After a while, I heard the door and slowly and achingly stood up. Aray ko poooo. Nagulat ako nung buksan ko ang pinto. Napatayo ako ng maayos at naramdaman ko ang lahat ng sakit ng katawan. I tried my best to hide the ache that I am feeling.
"Tita Jane!" I absentmindedly said. It's Thomas' mother. She looks exactly the same. Ganda pa rin.
"Hi Ara, good morning." and she still sounds the same! Her eyes are soft and her face is still soft. She gave me a quick motherly hug.
"Good morning din po," I stood almost frozen, nawala ang sakit ng katawan ko bigla. "P-pasok po kayo," I said. Buti na lang at maayos sa gamit yung kapatid ko.
"U-upo po kayo," I gestured to the couch.
Tita Jane sat there as see move her eyes around. Anong kailangan nito? Don't get me wrong, I love her but this surprise visit is unnerving.
"Uhmm, would like some orange juice po? Or coffee?" I asked.
She shook her head and timidly smiled. "Thank you, Ara. Tubig na lang."
I immediately went to the kitchen to get some water. I don't know why I'm shaking. Maybe I'm the one who needs water.
I handed Tita her glass of water and she took a slight sip.
"Ara, halika, maupo ka muna," she said and I sat on the opposite couch.
"K-kamusta po kayo?" I asked not knowing what to say.
"Okay lang ako hija," Tita answered. "Nagtataka ka siguro ba't ako nandito. Well, when Thomas mentioned that you're here, I told him I wanted to meet you."
"Ah oo nga po, namention na po ni Thomas," I said. Small talks lang Ara. Kaya mo yan.
"Ara," she moved a little closer to reach for my hand. "I'll cut to the chase. I kind of squeezed this out of Thomas when he came home last night."
Oh no no no no. I know where this is going. I took a glance at the door that leads to my little boy.
"Ara, I want to hear it clear and right," she said with her motherly but stern tone. "Ara is it true that you and Thomas have a son? My apo ako sayo?"
And as if on cue, Tyrone burst out of the door.
"Babe! Babe! Where's my Jollibee?" Tyrone came hopping not noticing the woman in front of me. He went in between my legs.
I bravely took a glance at Tita Jane. She looks surprised at first but her face gently turned into dreamy. She looked at my son lovingly as if she's been longing to have a grandson for the longest time.
"Is this him?" Tita asked. I'm not even sure if I've answered her question.
I nodded, "But Tita, he doesn't know yet." I immediately said.
