I woke when I heard someone moving around. I am fully conscious but I am lazy to open my eyes. It was a good uninterrupted sleep. Thank you, Lord.
Thomas' arms are the best place for me. I felt most secured in those arms. Now, I sleep well in them too. But... they aren't holding me anymore. Then I realized wala na si Thomas.
I opened my eyes and found no one. It wasn't a dream, or was it? The last time I remember I was with Thomas.
I got up and looked around. I am in his room.
"Thom?" I calmly called.
And no one answered.
"In here," then he appeared from the bathroom. He is drying his hair with his towel.
It wasn't a dream. I involuntarily smiled, not to mention na ang gwapo ng bagong ligong Thomas Torres.
"I'm sorry, I didn't wake you. You need the rest. Ako na lang muna ang babalik sa hospital," he took me out of my day dreaming.
"What? Sama ako," I said.
"Ara, magpahinga ka na muna. You haven't rested from your flight," he said as he finishes drying his hair. He walked towards me.
"No, I'm fine," I said. I searched for my slippers and stood up. "Can you wait for me?"
"Are you sure you're alright?" He asked as he helped me up.
I nodded and held on to his arms for support so I could wear my slippers properly. "Wait lang, ligo lang din ako. Nandito pa ba yung mga damit namin ni Ty?"
"Yeah, right side in my closet," he instructed.
"Mabilis lang ako," I said, then walked towards the bathroom.
"I'll wait for you downstairs. Iche-check ko lang yung mga pinahanda kong hapunan. Our friends are still in the hospital," he informed.
"Okay," I replied and entered the bathroom.
I took a quick shower and then searched for my clothes. I followed Thomas' instructions. His closet is a mini walk-in type. Malinis at maayos naman sa gamit si Thomas kahit noon pa. So I wasn't really surprised seeing his closet to be this neat.
What surprised me is that, his things are all squeezed on the left side. The right side is empty except for some few clothes. I checked it and those were mine. Those were the ones I left here when Ty and I are staying during the weekend. Remember the agreement I had with Tita Jane?
I don't know why but it made me smile. It's like Thomas really made space for me. Para kaming mag-asawa.
Errrrr... Okay, let's not go that far.
I immediately dismissed the thought and took out my undies and pants. I had a very bright idea and took a comfy shirt from the left side.
I hurriedly went downstairs and found Thomas in the kitchen, tapping something from his phone.
"Ready," I said to get his attention.
He smiled when he saw me. "It's amazing how you look good in my shirts," he said.
"I need something comfortable. Do you mind?" I asked, hesitant.
"No," he shook his head with a smile. "Not at all."
"Okay," I said.
One of the helpers came in with two big white plastic bags.
"Eto na po, Kuya Thomas," she said and laid the bags on the kitchen island.
