We went out of Mika’s room to give way to her parents. It was our last conversation with Mika Aereen Reyes because in an hour or two, we will be officially talking to Mika Aereen Reyes Teng. Hay time flies.
We waited outside the church. We are just waiting for Mika to start the ceremony. Alam niyo naman yun. Mahilig sa grand entrance.
I am fuzzing about Tyrone’s suit. He’s sweating all over it. I removed the jacket and opened the inner polo. Good thing may pamaypay si Mama. I was trying so hard to fan my baby boy. Pati ako pawis na pawis na. Kawawa naman yung anak ko.
“Water,” I saw bottled water in front of me. When I looked up, it was Thomas. As much as I hate to admit this, I really think Thomas is extra hot today, with his grey suit. Nakikisabay sa panahon eh.
“Ara I think, you should really let your son drink some water,” Thomas suggested when I wasn’t able to move. Gwapo naman kasi niya masyado. “I’ll get that.”
He took the fan out of my hands and started fanning, including me and Tyrone. I took the bottled and water and helped Tyrone to it.
“Grabe ang init dito sa Pilipinas,” I said. “Hindi sanay si Ty.”
“Obviously. Siguro huwag na niyang isuot yung jacket,” Thomas said, sincerely concerned for my boy.
“Hindi ko na talaga isusuot.” I agreed.
“Guys, line up na tayo. Parating na ang bride,” the wedding coordinator shouted.
I positioned myself to lift Tyrone from the chair his sitting on but Thomas was faster. “I got this,” he carried Tyrone in his arms.
“Pumila ka na,” I told Thomas as I followed them. He walked to his place behind Jeron and the groom’s parents. After naman niya ay si Tyrone. I followed them in their positions.
“Dun ka na sa pwesto mo. Ako na ang bahala,” he said but did not put Tyrone down. My son looks a tiny bit of weak. I ignored Thomas and continued to fan some air to my son.
“Ms. Ara eto na po yung rings na bibitbitin ng anak niyo,” one of the coordinating staff gave me the pillow.
“Babe, are you feeling okay? Can you still walk?” I asked. “Can you still do what we practiced the other day?”
I’m worried about my baby boy. But Tyrone smiled and nodded. “Are you sure?” I asked.
“Don’t worry, ako na bahala. Sasabayan ko na lang siya sa paglakad.” Thomas said.
“Okay lang ba?” I asked.
“Okay lang yan. Sige na Ara, pumila ka na,” Thomas said. He put down Tyrone to his feet and I gave Ty the pillow with the rings.
I bent down to face my boy. “Babe, Tito Thomas will walk with you.”
Ty nodded. And I kissed him on his cute cheeks which he got from me. “Goodluck Babe. I love you.”
“I love you.” Ty replied and I pointed to my cheek. He gave me a super long kiss on the cheeks.
I stood up straight and saw Thomas looking at the exchange between me and my son. He smiled. “You two look lovely.”
“Thank you,” I said. I almost turned my back to go to my position when…
“Ara,” Thomas called.
