“Babe! Babe! Babe!” Tyrone was running towards Thomas and I.

We are picking him and Cristine up from their baking class. And by the look on his face, he had a great time. He was carrying a red box with him as he run.

“Heeeyy,” I scooped him up when he reached us. Cristine and Lina are just behind Ty. “Someone had a fun time.”

“How was it, big boy?” Thomas asked as he stood in front of us.

“Fun,” Ty timidly answered but his face screams overflowing excitement.

“That’s great! Did you make a lot of cookies?” I asked.

He nodded enthusiastically and handed the box. My hands are full so Thomas took it instead and opened it.

“Look Mommy, Ty made us cookies,” Thomas looked twice to the cookies. “Well they’re smiling cookies.”

Thomas tilted the box so I could see them. Well, in a third person’s view, the cookies look like a bunch of mess. The sizes are from smallest to the biggest. The supposedly two eyes made up of chocolate chips were all over the place. The smile was… well I can’t figure if it’s smiling or frowning or I don’t know.

But on the mother standpoint, the cookies are amazing.

“Well… They looked like they’re made by a very good boy,” I commented.

Thomas had the courage to pick one and have a bite. And surprisingly Thomas smiled. He doesn’t looked like he was poisoned or something.

“Hey, they’re actually good,” Thomas said as he chew his bite.

“Really?” I said.

Thomas nodded and raised the cookie to my mouth, “Try it.”

I took a bite. Hmm? It’s actually doesn’t taste like the way it looks. It’s rightly chewy and the flavors are right, not floury or too sweet.

“Hey Babe! You’re good,” I said.

Tyrone smiled shyly to my praise.

“Galing ah,” I said again.

“Ma’am sila Ty at Tine po yung nagdesign ng cookies at nag-mix ng ingredients. Tumulong po ako sa proportions,” Lina explained. She might have noticed our astonishment.

I looked at Thomas and for the nth time we were on the same frequency again. Haha. Masyado naman kaming na-impress.

“For me, you’re still the best,” Thomas said to Tyrone and kissed him on his fluffy cheeks.

“My baby is really a big boy na. You’re going around, baking cookies without Mommy’s help,” I proudly said and snuggled Tyrone.

Tyrone was tickled but helpless in my arms. All he can do was to hide his face to the nook of my neck.

“Sir nasan mo sila Ma’am Cienne,” I heard Lina asked Thomas.

“Mamaya pa sila eh,” Thomas explained. “Lina, if you want we can take care of Cristine, you can go around para may own time ka din para makabili ng mga pasalubong mo. Don’t worry kami na muna bahala sa alaga mo.”

“Oo nga, Lina. Ako na bahala kay Cienne,” I said.

“Ah-hh eh-hh, okay lang po ako,” she shyly said.

“You go ahead, don’t worry. You’re in Boracay, enjoy,” Thomas egged. “Just come back after a couple of hours.”

“Sigurado po kayo?” she asked.
