My heart is pounding louder than a drum, my muscles are shaking, my hands are sweating. I'm in a cab thinking of what is happening. The helper at the Torreses said that something happened to Tyrone but she won't tell me exactly. She just told me to hurry to the hospital.

I fished my phone out to call someone, anyone who answers. I've been trying to reach Thomas but he's not answering. What could've happened?

I tried Kuya Axel but to no avail, Tita, Tito, Mariel and I got nothing. Finally, Katherine, my last hope. Please Kath, answer.

After a few rings she answered the call.

"A-ate?" Shit she's crying. I thought my heart is already in rebellion earlier but hearing Katherine's voice like this, it's worse.

"What happened to Tyrone? Where are you?" I tried to sound as calm as possible.

Panic won't do anything good. I'm an athlete and times like this should not startle me.

"Ate, Tyrone had an accident. We are in the hospital," Kath answered with sobs in between.

"Can I talk to your Kuya Thomas?" I immediately asked as I try to keep myself composed.

"Ate, I don't think you can talk to him," Katherine asked.

What? Why can't I talk to him? May nangyari din ba kay Thomas? I am used to pressure-filled situation but not this. I am trembling.

Then I heard someone from the other line asking Kath who is she talking to, "Si Ate Ara po."

Then...

"Ara, it's Kuya Axel," I heard someone on the phone.

"Kuya, what's happening?" I asked.

"Where are you, Ara? I thought you'll arrive tomorrow," he said.

"Manila na po ako, papunta na diyan sa hospital," I said.

"Okay, I'll fill you in when you get here. Be careful and don't worry, we are trying our best to arrange things here," he calmly said.

Even after hearing that, I can't stop shaking.

"Where is Thomas?" I asked.

"He's here but in a state of shock. Tyrone is in the OR," Kuya said.

"OR!?" I startled the driver.

"Just get here safe, I will tell you everything," he said.

After ending the call, I couldn't stop my tears anymore. I don't know what I'm feeling. I am nervous and agitated as fuck. What the hell happened, and my son is in the operating room?!

I took long strides when I reach the hospital. I didn't bother passing by the reception, I went directly to the waiting area near the operating room. Katherine texted me earlier that they are all there.

The first thing I saw was Thomas, seated on one of the chairs slouching forward. His face is grim and blank. When I looked down to his shirt it was almost soaked with blood. There was a huge rectangular plaster that is covering his left arm.

And my heart raced to the mountains.

I immediately ran to his direction and kneeled in front of him. That is the only time when they noticed me.
