"Daddy!" Tyrone shouted right when I opened the door. I suddenly stopped him from running directly to his Daddy's bed.
"Shhh Babe, Daddy's sleeping," I said as I carried him up. "Good evening Kuya."
"Good evening, Ara," Kuya Axel said. "Eto na yung dinner at mga gamit mo," he raised the duffel bag his holding.
"Thank you po," I said and opened the door widely.
Kuya Axel greeted his parents as he enters the door and laid his carriage on the table beside the couch.
"Kamusta po si Thomas?" Kuya asked. Thomas was sleeping soundly on his bed.
"He's on close watch but he's relatively fine. Nagbibiro pa nga yan kanina," Tita answered.
"That's good to hear, I have to be tested right?" Kuya asked again.
"Yes. When Joan comes back, we'll tell her that you're ready," Tito said.
"Mommy! Mommy! I want to go to Daddy!" Tyrone struggled out of my arms.
"Tyrone, I said..." I started.
"Hey big boy..." we all heard Thomas.
"I told you to keep quiet now your Daddy's awake. He should be resting," I told Tyrone and my son's face looked remorseful but cute.
"Mommy okay lang," I turned and it was Thomas who was smiling. He stretched out his hand. "Akin na yang baby damulag."
I turned to Tyrone who was also smiling from ear to ear. Talo na naman ako sa dalawang to. I delivered Tyrone to Thomas' bed .
"Hello, big boy..." Thomas talked to his son and they eventually had their own world.
"Ara, sumama ka na kanila Mom. Magpahinga ka muna, galing ka pa sa game. Ako na muna ang bahala dito," Kuya Axel said.
"Okay lang ako, Kuya. Keri naman. Magbabantay na lang din ako," I said and I turned to Tita Jane. "Kung okay lang po, kayo po muna bahala kay Tyrone."
"Ara, okay lang naman na bantayan namin si Ty pero kailangan mo rin magpahinga," Tita said.
"May championship series kang kailangan isipin. Kami na muna bahala," Kuya Axel said.
"Kuya's right, Ars. Umuwi ka na muna," Thomas butted in.
I looked straight at Thomas' eyes, he looks, hmmm, okay but not okay enough to leave him out of my sight. I don't even think if I could really rest knowing he is sick here.
I took a very deep breath and shook my head, "Dito na lang ko, please. Okay lang ako, promise." Then I turned to Tita Jane, "Tita I could call Kuya June to pick up Tyrone. Dun na lang po muna si Ty kay Kuya para makapagpahinga lahat."
"Hija, Tyrone isn't a bother. Ang inaalala lang namin, ikaw. Baka pagod ka na," Tita said.
After a bazillion arguments, I was able to convince everybody that I will stay. We didn't have a hard time convincing Tyrone that he will sleep with Lola and Lolo after we told him that his Daddy Thomas will be well again if he follows what the adults say.
Moment after the elders and Tyrone left, Dr. Joan came in to fetch Kuya Axel for the tests.
"Lika nga dito," Thomas patted the empty space on his bed. We were alone in his room now.
"Bakit?" I asked but obliged. I carefully sat on his bed. I positioned myself so I'm facing him while he's half-lying.
"Stop worrying," he said with authority as he took my hand.
