"Saan kayo pupunta?" Thomas asked. When he arrived here in Kuya's condo, Tyrone and I are all dressed up.
"Sorry I forgot to tell you," I said. "Nandito kasi yung boss ko sa London. Remember, he set a meeting to convince me back. Ngayon yun."
"Oh bakit pati si Ty?" he asked when he saw his son is ready.
"Ah, isasama ko," I said as I finish up putting things that I need in my handbag. "Don't worry, my boss knows Ty. They're actually friends."
"Talaga?" Thomas inquired.
"Yep, so later na kayo gumala or better yet, tomorrow na," I said and put a cap on my son's head.
"Hey big boy, you know your Mommy's boss?" Thomas turned to his son.
"Yep! Will," Tyrone answered.
"Yes and we need to get going," I said and stood up. We're all ready.
"Hatid ko na kayo," Thomas presented.
"Yes please, ayokong ma-traffic," I said and we went off.
We arrive at Manila Shang 15 minutes before 10. Thomas stayed because he's assigned himself as the driver of the day. We ordered coffee in the restaurant.
"Tara?" I heard someone and when I look back my hunch was right.
"Will!" I stood and gave me a hug. Tyrone also stood from his seat and gave William a hug.
"Hello mate, how are you?" he asked Tyrone.
"Good," my son beamed and went back to his seat.
"Oh you have company," Will noted, when he saw Thomas whose face now is indescribable. He looks angry, confused and weirded out at the same time.
"Yeah. This is Thomas," I said and Thomas stood from his seat. "Uhmm Tyrone's father."
William gave me a look. He knows my story but not the whole of it. He knows that Tyrone's father and I aren't in a good situation. But of course, that was before.
I just smiled at him.
"Thomas, this is William," I introduced.
The two shook hands like true gentlemen. Thomas and William look worlds apart but their faces have the same aura. I don't know what it is.
Siguro nagsusukatan kung sino ang mas mayaman at mas matalino sa kanilang dalawa. Ewan ko ba sa mga lalaki, ba't ganito tong mga to.
"Maybe we could talk on a different table," I suggested.
"Yeah, of course," he told me then turned to Tyrone. "I'll see you in a bit, mate. I've got something for you."
Tyrone waved at him as William guided me to the other table.
"So, Thomas," Will started and gave me a look.
"Yeah," I looked at the table "Sometimes you just wouldn't know what awaits you when you haven't been home for a long while."
"Am I allowed to hear the story?" he asked.
I smiled, "Thomas and I move in a very small circle. I had no choice. Fortunately, it turned out well. He loves Tyrone and his family too."
"That's good to hear," he smiled but that didn't reach his eyes. Ang weird nito. "But what about the two of you?"
"Thomas and I? We're friends," I answered then smiled.
"Well then, you're right. Things turned out perfectly," he commented. "And I have to say, they look almost exactly like each other. You couldn't have gotten away with that."
