Aphmau let out a grunt of a sigh as she placed her fingers against her temples and gave it a gentle push, anything to get the throbbing headache to lessen, if not stop it. Her head hurt so bad that she couldn't even describe it, but the closest she could come to it was somebody hammering a nail into both her temples.
It was hard to deal with, especially with her continuing to do what had given her a headache in the first place. She had been writing stories about her life and her friends, publishing them for over a year. She thought it would be the best to set up a P.O. box so that all her friends could send her letters and gifts. It wouldn't have been so bad if most of her fans could spell or punctuation; but most of them didn't. It was quiet a struggle to put them together enough to make complete sentences.
The short fan-fictions that were written by her fans were the hardest to put together. They made a little bit of sense, they were usually silly and made her laugh. Most of the time though it took all she had to put it together. Hence, the headache.
Luckily though, Aaron had decided to come over to the house and help her sort through everything. Granted they weren't going to be able to reply to all the letters Aphmau insisted on reading all of them at least once.
"Do you need a break?" Aaron asked, putting a cup of coffee in front of the raven haired girl, "We've been at this for three hours now."
"No, we're almost half done." She smiled, "It's just the really long ones that make my head hurt. Especially the ones that don't have any punctuation, It can be really hard to put them together."
Aphmau picked up the mug that was sitting next to her, it was still warm to the touch as she brought it to her lips, sipping down the warm coffee. She sucked in a breath then put it back down on the table, she then picked up another letter, beginning to read it as she had done with a few dozen others.
She was about half way through the letter when the paper slipped, the corner of the paper slicing into her finger. On instinct Aphmau hissed, putting the paper down before sucking on the tip of her finger as blood trickled out of the small wound.
Why was it that paper cuts hurt worse than while she cut herself while cooking.
"Aphmau?" Aaron's dark grey eyes looked at her worriedly, "Are you alright?"
"Y-yeah, it's just a paper cut." Aphmau said, letting out a timid laugh.
"Let me see," Aaron said, walking around the table as he gently took Aphmau's hand into his own, turning it around so that it was palm up. He examined it for a moment then brought the tip of it to his mouth, giving it a careful kiss. "I'll get you a band-aid." He said, walking away, leaving Aphmau stumbling over her words, her face bright red.
Who could have possibly known that a little paper cut could make her love him even more.
